Render Save?

Is there any way to make a render auto-save when it's complete?  Or, better yet, save incrementally as it renders?

I came in eagerly this morning to see the results of an overnight render only to find that Windows had helpfully installed updates last night and re-booted.  Le Sigh.  Forgot to turn that feature off.  But it's not just Windows, of course.  Lost another render to a power outage last week.  So as I sit down to start it up again, I was wondering if there was some checkbox somewhere that I am missing?  It seems silly that I have to be here to push the save button, and although what I really want is for it to do the equivalent every 1000 iterations or something.

You can render to a file.

    If this is Windows,

    %AppData%/Daz 3D/Studio4/Temp/Render/

and its r.png. It will be cleared when you start DS.

Thanks Richard, that's helpful if it crashes (or updates) after it finishes, but is there anywhere it saves incremental progress?  It seems strange that it doesn't save out the iterations as it goes, because a crash at iteration 10000 is not helped by a save at iteration 10001.

I thought in the past it had saved as it rendered, I'm sure(ish) that I've recovered renders that way.

Well, it happened again last night, with (I guess) a Windows update restarting my maching after I went to bed.  I had a render going, and the AppData.../render folder is empty, so I don't think it incrementally saves, or if it does, it must do that somewhere else?

First, go to preferences and move that folder to somewhere sensible like C:\DAZTEMP, and preferably on a SSD.

There was a thread asking about incremental saves, I suggested FileHamster:

I think if you render to a seperate window it will incrementally save in the temporary renders file folder (though you can't start it back up again).

For Windows 7, I've managed to recover at least a few renders from: C:/Users/YOURNAMEHERE/AppData/Roaming/DAZ 3D/Studio4/temp/render

But I'm not sure if it's different for Windows 10, and I'm not sure how long it stores that render. (I do know that once you start a new render, that one will be erased).

EDIT: This is the article I'd found where I originally found the info above: https://www.versluis.com/2017/04/where-does-daz-studio-store-temporary-renders/
