I notice the description states that the bangs are 'force ready' - does anyone know if this should read dForce?

I would say no, as if it was, it would plasted all over the place and you'd be paying a lot more !
I'm not sure what you mean, her last hair product released was dForce and it's the same price. Lady Littlefox has been putting out quite a few dForce compatable items lately so I think it probably is meant to be "dForce ready". But only she or someone who's bought it will know for sure if it's a typeo or not, so maybe someone who's gotten it will chime in to let us know. :)
It's on my wish list for now as I'm getting pretty low on store credit, but I definitely plan on getting it when I have a bit more to spend. :) It's super cute!
Yup, the elf is adorable; I have enough cute though.
The text should be changed too, if it is dForce.
The Compatible Software at the top does list dForce, so I think yes it probably is dForce ready.
This should technically have it in the product title, so It should be renamed. All dForce clothes have it in the title, so I would assume hair would be the same.
But you are right it is in the compatible software !
Yes I'm broke already and we just started !!!
Thanks Richard; I missed it.
So showing dForce on the main, large promo as well as the Compatible software wasn't sufficient?
Bangs yes, braids no...sorry, will put in a request for fix, should read dforce, spellchecker must have gotten me.
There's a dynamics tab in the materials area. I applied it and it dforces the strands but not the braids. Playing with it to see if I can get the briads to move too.
Thanks for stopping by; have other of your dforce hairs and them to be easy to use. Expecting this to be the same.
Got the hair.
Want the girl....reminds me a bit of Giselle my fave G2f
Was wondering if the bangs were like the Kinley hair where only the lower part of the bangs had dforce and the roots are stationary? I do dynamic poses lots of times and need more movement than the Kinley hair gave. I tried editing the weightmaps, but never got good results.
I'm afraid they are similar. I tried to get them a bit more flowy as they don't have bangs to interfere with their motion as much, they don't have motion up to their very tip top roots, they fade downward from the temples.
Actually if you filter the store by compatible software you'll see that though most dForce clothes have "dForce" it in their product name, not all of them do.
I think that there are enough morphs to help with most movements. I've been using it non stop, definately my new favorite hair!!!
Dynamics Strength is set at 0.0 in the Surface tab. Of course your braids won't move. Add a Weight node. Define the weights on tails and rubber band. Play with the surface physics properties and everything WILL move.
BUT :
1/ It's impossible to keep the shape and the nice braids as they easily become nothing more than straight long hairs.
2/ At the end of the tails there's the rubber band and the tip of the tails. But ... tails / band / end of tails are : 3 different objects... That's dumb. If the tail was one piece from beginning to end it might have been possible to get some kind of interesting result by setting a low friction on the rubber band, a light density, and by putting high enough values on Bend Stiffness, Buckling Stiffness to force the band to keep its shape. But the last ponytail part being a different object : all falls appart. That sucks.
3/ Pushing Surface Simulation properties to force the shapse to keep their initial form, it remains very hard not to loose the shape of the ponytails. And if you set self collision ON to force that, simulation becomes ultra slow and my guess is it might easily explode.
So it's basically very hard to make those tails move (dforce) properly. Except using the provided morphs. That's frustrating.
4/ Only "solution" I found : delete the last part of the tails, delete the rubber band (or move it up maybe ?). And you'll get... well nice dforce long hairs. Or maybe a dforce ponytail with a buckling ratio very low, Bend Stiffness & Buckling Stiffness very high, and self collision ON. Yep... that's a tricky one. And again, main issue is that the original mesh isn't well thought for dforcing a ponytail.
Hmm... Too bad, they looked nice really.
