DS CR2 export only exports one face group.

I've got an issue I had to step away from before I threw my keyboard at my monitor. lol

I'm working on converting DS morphs to Poser for someone, and it comes with ear and tail figures.

Exporting the CR2 itself works. It's what's actually being exported that's the problem. For the ears, the rigging and morphs transfer, but only a single face group transfers (the group that would connect the ear to the figure's head). I cannot for the life of me figure out what's going on.

The exported geometry from the CR2 export is fine when I look at it in Blender, but all of the parts (the face groups in DS) appear as separate figures rather than parts to a main figure.

Here's a side by side. It's the "head" group in the face groups that's the only one exporting out.

Yes, I'm using the beta, but this happened in 4.6.0.18 as well (never tried in 4.6.1.17).

/edit
I'm using PP2014 SR2.2

Do the group names match the bone names? Poser doesn't like it if not, though most of the times it's caused issues it's been in the DSON Importer.

The only ones that don't match are the Tips. The face groups are named Right/Left Ear 7 Tip, but the bone is just Right/Left Ear 7.

I did have to get rid of some rogue face groups that had no polys assigned, too.

I'm not sure how DS is handling this at the moment, but spaces in group names were a problem - they aren't strictly legal (a space is a separator, so g Left Ear 4 is assigning the following polygons to groups names Left, Ear and 4). The problem did seem to be reduced after a while but it could be behind what you are seeing in some form.

Alright, I'll work on taking the spaces out and reassigning the polys to the new bone names and such. If this doesn't work, I give up on this conversion. lol

I give up. I renamed the shared bones to coincide with the figure, and took the spaces out of the new bones- renamed the facegroups to match and reassigned the bones to the new names, and saved it as a new figure/prop asset. The newly exported obj from exporting a CR2 even shows better in Blender (one object w/ multiple vertex groups).

    Still didn't work.

The CR2 exports only the 'head' group, but all of the rigging, the dson conversion doesn't export anything except the rigging. I don't know if this is a DS export issue, Poser import issue, or just an issue with these ears.

Hmm, I'm afraid I've run out of ideas on what the issue could be. It sounds as if it should be working.

    Np. Thanks for trying. :)

Since I have a few copies from trying with the rigging in tact, I may just import a good obj and copy the rigging over in Poser's setup room, export the CR2 from DS with PMD enabled, and inject it into the Poser-rigged CR2 to transfer the morphs.
