Heyyyy Richaaard! (Haseltine) There's a bug that I want to fix but seems DS won't cooperate!!!! I load the jcm corrective to fix the legs of my character (G8F) Tiny Lisa, when they bend side side 85. So, I do all the right steps to load the jcm (no need further questions about then), EERc freeze before one leg, then the other, jcm works perfectly, but when I save the Morph Asset then the character, I found that after reloaded the character it won't remember the morphs when I bend legs and everything go back like before load the jcm. No correctives jcm!!!!! This stupid thing drive me crazy!!!!! Thanks! yes

Find the property in the Property Hierarchy (you can do this bu right-click from the Parameters pane in Edit mode) and expand the options under the ERC link - one property should be save with, which tells you whether the link is saved with the controller or the sub-component. Make sure it's saving with the morph.

Ok thanks Richard I'm going to try your steps. Meanwhile look the pics. Pic 1 is what it say each time I save the Morph Asset then character. Pic 2 is what happens when I load the character. Could be useful to find the wrong step!

    I le you know!

  • Hey Richard I've pulled out the list under EERC link. Maybe the JCM is in this group ? (marked with red pen)

If not, is not saved then? Why? What have to do to save all the JCMs?

It's the save With under Attributes that I meant:

Ahhhhh ok! I find that option in the list I posted here? When i found it what I do to save? Thanks as always Richard! yes

One more question, I gave at the leg bend jcm the same name of the original one. It's ok or I change name?

It will save with the propertyn listed in Save As - for a JCM that would usually be the morph itself. If you exapnd the property under the Subcompoents heading (the oens bracketed in your screen shot) that should have the entries.

  • Hey Richard, I found the option Attribute and I see Save With, but from here I try random. Which point is right and which wrong? Here an example:

1 Load a new fresh G3F and slider up the Sheila Full Body Morph

2 Bend leg at 85 side side left leg

3 Load via Morph Loader Pro the JCM previously modified in ZBrush and saved for instance as pJCMSheilaThighSide_85_L
4 In Morph Loader Pro settings "Create Control Property: Yes", "Reverse Deformations: Yes" and "Overwrite Exisiting: Make Unique". Accept
5 I will find that modifier in Morphs (after that experiment I will set the right path)
6 Go in Edit Mode and it works well sliding up and down
7 Always in Edit Mode right click on Sheila FBM and enter in Show Property Hierarchy, then under Sheila node property drag from Parameters tab the JCM corrective (point 4) into Sub-Components 2nd Stage of Sheila
8 Everything seems ok but here the artifact. When I try to bend leg to 0 at the same time Sheila FBM back to zero.

This is a my random idea. Anyway point is that I can't syincronize the JCM and at same time each time I save and load the JCM disappear. Mistakes around the Property Hierarchy drag and

Well, you don't need the Control Property for a JCM. I'm not seeing in your list of steps where you link the property to the bend - a JCM for a morph needs both in order to work correctly.

  • Perfect! So, what I do to link bend a JCM? In a forum thread I opened months ago you told me this, could  be useful?

OK, try this (using the Property Hierarchy, from memory):

    1. Open the Property Hierarchy pane
    2. Put the Parameters pane in Edit mode (right-click menu)
    3. Right-click on the new corrective JCM and select Show in Property Hierarchy
    4. Find the bend on the bone in the parameters pane and drag it into the Property Hierarchy into the 1st Stage (Additive) group under attributes for your corrective
    5. Find the morph (Toned Edna) and drag that over to 2nd Stage (Multiplicative) under your corrective.
    6. Now exapnd the options under the rotation and you want set the scalar to 1/max angle - so if the corrective should be 100% at a bend of 85 you want 1/85 as the scalar.
    7. Make sure the ERC link is set to save with the corrective morph.

These steps works well, only stupid thing happen when I move the slider of the FBM. I mean, when it moves is at 1%, the JCM corrective go at 100%!

Please post a screen shot of the settings you have for the two links (to the JCM from bend and from morph)

  • Here the pics RIchard :

Pic 1 you can see both Sheila FBM 100% and JCM corrective at 100% as well
Pic 2 you see settings for JCM corrective (side side leg L 85)
Pic 3 As Sheila FBM is at 1%, the JCM Corrective going to 85 or 86%. So you can see the gap in the hip

Pic 4 is the EERc Freeze Options of JCM Corrective

Then, what EERc freeze? Sheila FBM, JCM Corrective, or ZRotate bend side side 85? I ask you this cause If I freeze Sheila FBM or JCM Corrective everything crash.

Your scalar is 1 - that means that when the rotation is 1 the JCM wil match the morph value (and since you have limits it will not go beyond 1). The scalar should be 1/bend value - so 1/85, approx 0.0118 but you can just type 1/85 in the field.

  • Exactly Richard! Right yesterday night I tried again and I solved! First, I used the steps you told me in the forum threads, second, I used the right SCALAR default from DAZ, third ... I forgot to save the JCM together FBM in Save Asset Morph!!!!! Lol!!!!

You told me that EERC save the JCM together the FBM using Save With ... Well, all the time I tried to look for a place to save EERC! Simply save and everything is ok!

Now Sheila saved as FBM with JCM and character as well! Finally I can put on market the most requested of my characters!

Thanks Richard! A precious collaborator as a always! yes
