Duplicate Formulas Error

Hi,

I'm having a huge amount of trouble trying to troubleshoot this problem and would appreciate some help. I'm receiving a 'duplicate formulas' error whenever I load scenes/merge subsets. I think I have narrowed it down, as it is now appearing when I load only a Genesis 8 Female Basic figure. Per the log:

2019-03-03 20:10:36.290 WARNING: ..\..\..\..\..\src\sdksource\fileinput\dzassetdaz.cpp(5979): Duplicate formula found linking Value & Value in /data/DAZ 3D/Genesis 8/Female/Morphs/DAZ 3D/Base/PBMNipples.dsf.

When I search for PBMNipples.dsf it appears numerous times across different PA products. It does not appear twice in the folder specified in the log.

I have tried uninstalling Genesis 8 Female morphs in DIM, and then reinstalling, but I get the same error.

Any ideas?

Duplicate Formulas is kind of an annoying error. The error you see in the log is only for the second occurrence of the formula; it doesn't tell you what the first occurrence was. The problem isn't necessarily the G8F Head and Body morphs themselves, but with something that references/calls on them. (Also, the issue won't be that there are two morph files -- there won't be two PBMNipples.dsf files in a particular directory -- but that there is an issue with the text inside the files.)

What was the last G8F character that you installed? It's very likely that the last character you installed introduced that issue, if you didn't see it before. If you can isolate it to the last character and uninstall that one, you can tell if that's the one that introduced the issue. Depending on how many recent characters you've installed, you may need to slowly go back through your purchases and uninstall one by one until the issue disappears. Once you no longer see the issue, you will have located the source of the conflict. You can then file a ticket to have the error fixed.

Alternately, if you got something updated recently -- a character or morph set or some such -- that may also have introduced the issue.

The good news, sort of, is that you can normally just click on the message to clear the error from your screen, and it won't interfere with anything. The caveat is that if you're doing an animation sequence or batch render, the duplicate formulas message may stop that process dead in its tracks.

Thanks, I'll do what you suggested.

Unfortunately I noticed DIM didn't actually seem to uninstall anything as all the folders were still there so I manually deleted them (Genesis 8 Female folders). Then I reinstalled through DIM. Genesis 8 Female loaded super fast without duplicate errors BUT no other character/vendor morphs now appear, although they are still installed. Does this mean I have to reinstall all characters?

If you deleted the \Data\Daz 3D\Genesis 8\Female\Morphs folder then you deleetd all installed morphs, so yes you will need to reinstall.

I've reinstalled everything and so far I am not encountering duplicate errors. Fingers crossed. Cheers for the help.
