GoZ wierdness

I have an odd problem in Zbrush--I can use theGoZ plugin for everything in a scene except one figure, a Victoria 7 HD. I have literally tried all the other files in the scene but this one always comes up with an error message "Unable to connect with Pixologic Zbrush. Check the. installation". I can't figure out why this one figure is not working. I was able to create a character from the figure that wouldn't transfer and paste the figure to the new character and aligned the two. The new figure transfers easily to Zbrush so my problem is resolved but I'm curious to know if anyone else has had this issue. I'd like to prevent this from happening in the future as the workaround takes a bit of time.

I'm not using GoZ anymore but I know of some issues I had in the past. ZBrush can't handle geometry issues like ngons or unconnected vertices while DazStudio simply ignores them.
My suggestion check that you "unfit" any geografts, hair and clothes of the Victoria 7 figure before using GoZ. Also if the figure is parented to a prop the whole thing gets imported to ZBrush.
If some figure attachments have issues in the geometry like ngones or unconnected vertecies GoZ dosn't work at least its giving you an error because vertex count dosn't match anymore if you try to get your sculpt back to DazStudio that is very frustrating at some times. On the other hand with quality assets there shouldn't be any geometry issues.
Thanks, Syrus. I tend to modify figures extensively with skin and morph utilities and I use a fair number of second-party items, so I'm probably going to run into this occasionally. Instead of trying to track the source of the problem I'll probably just use the workaround. In general Daz and Zbrush have been working well for me--I think Zbrush 2018 is more compatible with DS. Zbrush morphs haven't been distorted as they sometimes were in the past and I'm not getting a lot of crashes in either program.
