Expression to Morph Dial

I have a custom G3 model with some morphs and face shapes.

Now i want to create some mophs dials for some new expressions. I followed this:

  1. Set all the morphs you want, and ensure that the character is otherwise zeroed.
  2. Right-click in the Parametrs pane and click Edit Mode, if it isn't already checked.
  3. Show the group you want to add your slider to, then right-click and select Add New Property (or possibly Create New property - going from memory).
  4. Set the New property to 1 (don't set its default value to 1 or it will always load set)
  5. Right-click on the new slider and select ERC Freeze.
  6. Double check that your new property iss et as the controller, and that the sub-components are just the morphs you want included. Click Accept
  7. Test your morph and, if satisfied and you want it always available, File>Save As>Support Assets>Morph Asset

The Problem now is that i have to filter out the morphs that i used before from the morphs that i used only for the specific expression.
Sometimes its to complex to separate this morphs. Is there an easier way to do this? Maybe set the facial expression from which i start as default to easy seperate the used morphs for the new expression?

What do you mean? That you haven't cleared the previous expression? Surely then you wouldn't be seeing the results you wanted anyway.

  • I mean that my custom G3 model already has some facial morphs added. This state is what i would call my "all time zero Face Expression" for this model.
From this expression i want to create some other expressions as morph dials. But when i want to ERC Freeze my new expression i have to filter out the morphs that i used for my "all time zero face expression" and the morphs that i used for my new morph dial. expression.....sorry for my bad englisch its hard to describe.

But why do you want to filter them out? If you want a sldier for the current expression then it needs the sanme settings as are in effect.

  • Lets say i always want my iris size to max. as my default zero facial expression.
If i now use some other dials ( mouth/eyes open) for example and save them with ERC Freeze in a new dial morph, it will always shrink my iris size to normal size when i dial my new custom morph dial back to zero. If i dont want that i have to uncheck the iris size morph when i ERC Freeze.
Therefore i´m searching for a way to easily seperate the "old" morphs from the "new" ones.

I found a small step to a solution. Maybe someone has an idea for the next step.

When i go into the parameter settings i can change the value for the default state. When i now type in the current value to the default value, the morph won´t show up in the ERC Freeze list.

If i would change in all morphs the default value to the current value for my "default zero morph", i would only get the "new" morphs in the ERC Freeze list.
But changing them all by hand would take ages. Maybe there is a script or a way to change all used morph default value to the current value.

    EDIT:
I found a solution and maybe someone else will find it usefull.
    Edit ->Figure->Memorize->Memorize Figure
This will set all morph default values to the current state. If you now do some other morphs and ERC Freeze them in a new dial, only the new morphs will be in the ERC Freeze list.
