any way to transfer morphs from a .cr2 into an existing morphed figure?

this may have been asked before, but after 3 pages of searching, I didnt come across anything that seemed relevant.
I'm still using DS3, havent moved up to DS 4x yet, and I dont feel like I'm ready to do so. And I'd like to avoid Poser, if possible.
I just got a figure that has a lot of tummy/waist morphs that I really would like to try out. But the figure came as an entire figure, a .cr2 file. I want to use the morphs with my existing morphed characters that already have a lot of props parented to them.
Is there anything out there that would let me load up the cr2 file, and extract the morphs from it? Either directly into my customized characters, or that would let me create a pose file that would let me inject them into my characters? (like with the new Alice figure morphs from AlphaSeed? Or like the 4.2 morphs from here at daz.)
I'm currently using Morphia, with a lot of injections, and a lot of props that have taken some pretty extensive dial use, to match the characters proportions and placement. I'd REALLY like to have to avoid all of that again, with an all-new figure.
Any suggestions would most definitely be appreciated!
Second, I'd really like to be able to transfer the morphs into clothing items as well. With a preference for them to follow the figure automatically, like with the autofit in 4.x or like the Basics clothing does.
I remember reading about an add-in that would let you load the morphs from the figure into clothing items, but for the life of me, I dont remember what it was.
Any recommendations would also be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much, in advance!

No. Morphs only work with the unchanged .obj they were created for.
To transfer morphs to clothing ... many such utilities have been retired but there does appear to be one over at Content Paradise. Search for "morphing clothing". it's not free.
To get the plus features of autofit, clothing following the actor, etc ... upgrade. At least make the purchase while the program is still free ;-)
You said you'd like to avoid Poser, but this is extremely easy if you happen to have Poser 10/Pro 2014 because of the morph brush. You'd load up both of your figures, dial in one morph at a time, and set the figure whose morphs you want as the target and then use the brush on the figure you want it on.
Here's a full rundown on the process: http://forum.runtimedna.com/showthread.php?79163-The-Morph-Brush-Transfering-FBMs-to-other-characters.
okay ... :-)
That was actually mine before I edited it to go more in depth into the Poser method.
okay ... I removed it then.
Vaskania- I definitely appreciate that, however, I started using DS when I was unemployed, had no money, and was having to rely on freebies a few years ago. And since then, almost all of my work has been in DS, because I cant open the files in Poser to work with them. Most of them have a lot of dial-work involved, so replicating them in poser is just too much work.
Unless of course, the newest versions of poser can read DS files now?
Patience- I really, really do appreciate the input. However, I do have to disagree at a point you made. On the computer I used to have (who's hard drive burned up, and is no longer accessible) I had a program that would let you select a cr2 file, select a second cr2 file and it would merge the two together to create a new cr2. Which would contain the morphs from both files.
Unfortunately, its been so long ago, and I had only used it maybe twice I for the life of me cannot remember what that program was.
Regarding the latest DS, would I be able to transfer my existing characters into genesis/genesis2? Wouldnt I still have the same problems with a obj that doesnt have the morphs?
Hehehe I always download the freebies from the main site, so yeah, I've got 4.6, even tho I dont use it, and havent installed it. But I do need to dl the most recent. thanks for the reminder!
Any further input would definitely be appreciated. Even if I have to use the method of creating a combined .cr2.
BTW- To support the author of the product: http://zededd.deviantart.com/art/V4-2-pregnant-cr-2-NEW-morphs-265519148
Its worth checking out, since its got more than just a "bun in the oven" morph, like creating impressions, and moving the tummy up and down, side to side. Both of which I'm wanting to use for my fight scenes.
You can open DUF files in Poser by creating PoserCFs in DS and using the DSON Importer in Poser 9+ to bring them in (however the latest is required for that morph tool).
Alternatively, DS has a CR2 export. File > Export > Set to CR2 (I'm not sure if this is present in DS3, that's before I started actively using DS).
That's the first I've heard of such a program. I do know that one can add a readscript to a new .cr2 file, calling for the original .cr2 AND the new inj pose files. However it also is for "the same" figure. The .cr2 being called for is the same figure as the one the inj pose files were made for.
To transfer existing characters into either Genesis or G2 is possible but does require purchasing of various products to do the task.
.........................
Are you talking about for V4. That's not a new character. They used a script called 'morph to cr2'. [in the thread's discussions]
Okay. I just did this using D/S4.x and it works.
IF you have the basic figure skeleton setup tools in D/S3 [i.e. the ability to export a .cr2] it should work there too.
Load the new V4 .cr2.
Browse to the Poses folder and load the inj morphs for V4 base and for morphs++ ... and presumably any other morphs that you may have and want loaded in with the figure too ...
Then export out the new .cr2 file with a DIFFERENT name of course ;-)
Nice morph set.
You can use Gen-X to transfer morphs between Gen 4 and Genesis (G2F/G2M version is rumored to be in a progress) but if you short on money and big on free time, you can try this small tutorial about manual transfer of morphs from Gen 4 to Genesis in DS. The process has its difficulties, and V4 to Genesis transfer by this method is slightly more complicated because it is harder to match default V4 and Genesis stances (unlike M4 and Genesis stances which are very close). This method should work, with some alterations, on Gen 4 to G2F/G2M transfer although the end result might be different because of the embedded female and male shapes of G2F/G2M. The method is also pretty slow and if you have a lot of morphs to transfer it will take quite time to accurately do this. As far as I can tell, the changes in morphs (using this method) between Gen 4 and Genesis versions are very small, but sometimes inner mouth morph or eyebrow plate can mess stuff up in those region; I don't know how well Gen-X deals with those things.
Couple of things changed since that tutorial was written but it is mostly about where ERC freeze is located (in case if you need it) in DS 4.6.1.17 and up. This post should summarize the changes.
Genesis always loads with all available morphs: you won't have to use Inj/Del anymore or run ExP bats. Neither I had hit a limit of displayed morphs which I had in DS 3 where morphs after 512 (I think it was the number? or was it 1024?) didn't show, so I couldn't have Ultimate Morphs from RDNA along with Morphia in the same character.
If you save the scene with Genesis and later you'd get more morphs for it, saved-in-scene Genesis won't update automatically (I believe) but you should be able to update your saved-in-scene Genesis manually by opening your saved scene and dragging fresh new Genesis from library to scene and using 'update existing figure' popup option.
Morphs in Genesis/G2F/G2M have a quirk that if two morphs are named the same, DS will show only one of them and another will be sort of dormant. It can be helped by renaming + resaving under changed names one of those conflicting morphs and DS 4.6 lets you do this very easily. I usually just add something like _letters at the end: for example, when I had two Lipless morphs, I called one that went dormant Lipless_SY and it is working well since then along with another Lipless morph which I left as it is.
Sorry for the very late reply. Have been super busy of late. I most definitely appreciate the information and will try out the suggestions :)
Will reply back :)
Thanks so much everybody!
Actually in Poser 10/PP2014 you can copy the morphs from and figure into any clothing item, you just select the body of the clothing item, and click copy morphs from then select what figure you want to copy the morphs from. You can even copy morphs to props to a certain degree, and prop based hair
There's a utility called Morph Manager that let's you copy morphs from one figure to another which I think is exactly what you want. I believe it's free. I've never used it myself but it's been around a long time and others have used and would vouch for it. Needless to say I don't know where/who has it for download..
Morph Manager should flick some bells for users who read this.
found it.
