Eyes are pixelated after render

For the past couple of days, I’ve rendered out images fine, but recently when I render, the eyes don’t, they’re just pixelated, made the rendering longer, more samples and everything like that

hope one of you guys know how to fix

They aren't pixellated, they are noisy - the trouble is the materials on them are much slower to converge than the rest of the image, so the convergence threshold is reched before theya re anywhere near done. One thing to try is using the Spot render tool, with the option to render to a New Window set in Tool Settings, to drag out a rectangle over just the eyes and - assuming that's better - save as PNG or Tiff, then add that on top of the main render to patch the eyes.

  • I don't think that's noise.  I agree that they are pixelated as if the resolution of the texture on the eyes is quite low.  Noise would show up differently.   For the OP, double-check the resolution of the eye texture maps.  Perhaps reload them, or try using a higher-resolution texture from another character.

The whole thing is, I think, a mobile phone photo of the screen rather than a proper screen shot - that's why you can see the pixel boundaries throughout.

  • It doesn't matter how the image was captured.  Relative to the rest the of the image, the eyes are pixelated.  I believe it's either a low-res texture, or a bug in the software is treating the eye texture as low-res.
