Hi, Is it possible to drag and drop textures (png, jpg) onto clothing? I tried and I got told "No importer for this file can be found"
Is there an import I can get?
Thank you
Kimberly

There is the fabricator and on ShareCG there are lots of free textures for it.
Can you use your own textures? I have a zillion textures.
thanks
Yes, you can add your own textures to Fabricator.
Without Fabricator, select the Surfaces you want and click on the down arrow or mini image to the left of the Diffuse Color (or Spec/Bump/Displacement) and choose Browse to select your jpg/png.
I know how to do it with the mini arrow but on MD3 I use drag and drop texture the resize them which makes it so much easier to quick change textures and edit till you find the match you want. However when you export MD3 to Daz the texture won't move with the obj uv map. I was looking for a fast way to swap textures in and out like I do on MD3.
I will check out Fabricator.
While I am asking questions, when I open the layer editor. I've tried to adjust the pattern size but when I get it the size I want it. It only shows as a small square on the clothing instead of all the clothing as a pattern. The texture is a full pattern on the clothing till I use the layer edit and make it smaller. What is the best way to resize a texture inside Daz?
Thanks
Drag and Drop only works in DAZ Studio when the File is saved as a Material File in one of the supported formats. So Add the JPG to all needed surface area's and then do Save As>Materials Preset. Then Drag and Drop would work if the ITEM the material is for was selected in the Scene Tab.
