Is there a way to import a custom figure in DS and transfer the rig from G8?

I am looking at a way to make a morph so I can change the look of my custom mesh, to be a G8 character.
I assume that there is a workflow in place, for the creation of new figures; like Sakura8 for example, which works on top of the G8 figure.
Spent few days searching but can't find a clear approach to do this. I am not looking to sell content on DAZ store; but just to use my custom mesh and be able to do anything I can do with it, as if I did buy Sakura8 or any other DAZ figure that leverage on Genesis 8.
My custom meshes are humanoid; mostly anime figures, so I assume that it is possible to accomplish what I did mention.

To create a morph for G8 you start from G8 mesh and modify it by moving the vertices, you can't take a totally unrelated mesh and transform it into a G8 morph.
Thanks; that basically means that I have to start from scratch.
I know there are methods to transfer morphs between different versions of Genesis, which don't use the same mesh. There might be a way to adapt those somehow to "transfer" your figure as a morph, but I have no idea how. And the transfered version may not look exactly the same, especially if your mesh is higher res than G8.
Step 1: export the G8 mesh from Daz Studio (preferably in OBJ format).
Step 2: get a piece of software called Wrap 3. It is used primarily by artists who deal with 3D scans but it is invaluable for the type of custom figure rigging you are talking about. Use Wrap3 to wrap the Genesis 8 topology onto the mesh you want to rig. Their website has good tutorials on how exactly to do this.
Step 3: Import your new figure back into DS and adjust rig to fit figure
Congratulations. You now have your custom morph rigged in DAz Studio. But your job isn’t finished. Noooo, you are just beginning, because now you have to convert your textures to the new UV’s for G8 and iRay shaders. There is more than one way to approach this and much more than I am willing to explain here. Have fun.

Hi Drzap,
Sorry to necro this.
I've been playing around with Wrap2020 and have got it to work for head scans. For full body scans however I'm getting stuck on step 3, the tutorial I'm following seems to result in a wrapped obj. that has slightly differing geometry from the basemesh, preventing me from using morph loader pro. It works with transfer utility but then I can't seem to get rig to properly adjust. [EDIT: For headscans I am also using transfer utility, but the rigging poses less of a problem it seems]
I have purchased Shape Rigger Plus (never seemed to have been able to use it, sadly) but it requires a morph to do its thing and my utility transfered thingy doesn't seem to be a morph.
How exactly would I go about adjusting the rig to fit the figure? I could elaborate on the steps I've been taking, if that'd help.
Thanks!
