Eyes "Point at" not working

So i've been trying with two different characters, after posing them and facing them face to face somehow, selected both eyes and clicked point at ... an selected the other character. It's 100% not working, sometimes it looks down, sometimes it's looking 40 degrees off from the character, 100% it's not working, can't get the chars too look at eachother. Do you need to make take some steps before using the "Point at" option?

You just need to choose the other character's eyes or head, not the figure root node, as the centerpoint of the figure is at floor level. The "point at" command makes the eyes point at the chosen node's center point. You can create a null object and position it where you want your character's eyes to point at, might be easier to handle;)

There's an excellent, time saving product I can recommend: https://www.daz3d.com/look-at-me-pose-control

I use the Look At Me scripts all the time.  I used to use 'point at', but there is a bug in Studio where the eye position is not preserved after a save and reload, requiring a jiggle to the head or target to put the eyes back in place.  The Look at Me scripts are also more powerful, including head movements and fractional movements.

A couple of other tricks I've used...

    1. Create a null object (I typically call it something like "Victoria Eye Target"), parent it to the head or camera or whatever you want the eyes to look at. Then use Point At toward that null object instead. Because you can move the null to wherever the eyes look more natual it can help with some of the weird crossed eye looks when you try to point directly at a figure or camera that is close to your subject. You still have to use the "jiggle" trick on the null when reloading the scene though.

    2. Create two very small cameras and parent them to the figure's eyes, placing it right on each eyeball. Then look through that camera as you use the pose controls on the figure's eye to aim. It can be a pain at first, but I've found it usually results in the most realistic eye positioning.

Looks like the Look At Me script has been replaced with Look At Me II, so here is the correct link for that: https://www.daz3d.com/look-at-me-ii-pose-control

So, I usually don't have problems with pointing eyes, but for some reason I suddenly am.

One character in particular, Mio. But the problem started suddenly, it wasn't always there. I point both eyes at a Posing cam that I added, and they're not pointing in the same direction. They both follow the camer, but are off. She's cock-eyed. This happens on two different machines. See Eyes1 attached image.

So, I bought the Look At Me II script. Works great on one machine, but does nothing at all on the other.

What the heck is going on??
