help with installing DS 4.6 beta on mac

Hi, I don't really use DS but I always keep it in case I need it for something. I have noticed in my DIM I have something called Daz studio 4.6 beta.
I thought I should install it.
This is the set up I already have. Should I just merge this download into the folder I am showing you in my screen cap which is my old stuff?
Also does this new folder contain an application? where is my application?
Love esther

You should let DIM install ideally - I'm not sure if you can safely manually install an application, files certainly need to go in a lot of places (including to the applications folder).
but even if I use DIM I still have to point it somewhere. Should I just point it at my application folder then? The other file that is similar but has more stuff and was from the official version of DS, is where I showed you on my screen cap and not in my application folder.
Unless the Mac version is different it will set the application folder itself, for that you just need to point it to the content directory for any user and data files it includes (most content is in the Genesis * Essentials zips, of course).
Okay then I should point it at the folder I showed you a screen cap of that already has some content in it.
(I've put a lot of the genesis stuff into external runtimes in poser.)
Yes, that should be fine - assuming you mean the My DAZ 3D Library folder and not the expanded Support folder that's showing files.
thanks. yes, I think that is what i meant - least it is now hehe.
