Save a combination of morphs as a single morph

I have created a Head shape for G8F using X-Morphs, various face and neck morphs and Zbrush morphs I created myself. I want to combine them all in to a single morph and be able to use that as a dial which I can then apply (at whatever % I want) to other G8F figures. I want the new dial to be available whenever a G8F figure is loaded.

I will NOT redistribute the new morph, so there should be no copyright issues.

So, could someone talk me through the process?

PS, The X-morphs script has a Combine Tab, which is supposed to be able to to do this, however, when I select the G8F figure and run the X-morphs script, selecting the Combine tab shows no morphs to combine. When I go ahead and use the spawn morph button anyway, a dial is created at 100% (and zeroing it removed the morphs I have created) but when I close the file and load a new G8F figure that new morph dial is gone.

You can create a single dial for a combination of morphs using ERC freeze. Seee Richard's post here: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/4415896/#Comment_4415896

Unfortunately, when following Richard's brief instructions I get a dial that does nothing at all. Clearly I am missing a crucial step. A more detailed description would be useful.

Sounds like you didn't have the morphs and dial set when you did the ERC Freeze - did you get anything in the Sub Components tab of the ERC Freeze dialogue?

Hi Richard, thanks for the quick reply.

The morph was set to 100%. I don't see a "Sub Components Tab" in the ERC Freeze popup box. I'm using DAZ4.10 at the moment as I'm working on my laptop (the motherboard of my desktop died and I'm waiting for a new system to arrive). I do see a Freeze Properties list; it has a long list of properties including some that I don't want included in the morph.

You need the morphs you want the new slider to control set to their desired values - ERC Freeze links the state of the control slider to the state of other non-zero properties.

So does that mean that the new slider is simply a master slider that controls other sliders? If so, then I assume that I cannot delete the other sliders, So if I have a morphed figure that has lots of small morph adjustments, made in Zbrush, then I still cannot delete them using this method? Will the new ERC frozen morph be available in all other G8F figures that I load?

Right, it's a master slider. If you have lots of tweaks, all of which are on and off (not corrective morphs which need to vary depending on another property) thata re your own work then of coruse you can bake them (in Zbrush, or in DS by exporting as OBJ with just those morphs et and loading as a new morph) to a single morph first. If you saved any custom morphs as Morph Assets, then save your master slider as a Morph Asset, then it will be available on all instances of the base figure.

Thanks Richard, I'll give that a go.

With X-Morphs, there is the Save Assets tab, to save morphs(spawn/combination) as assets. For it to work correctly.
