Can't get this to work

Hi folks, me again. I have not been having much luck getting stuff I buy to work here. They seem to have ways to do it but none listed with the products. I just bought this and it does nothing. It just sits there when I apply the morph. There are no added dials that I could find. I click each pose and nothing happens. Once again I am lost as to get something to work. I got the Dforce hair to work after lots of help here, that was rediculous not to show how to get it to work. So...maybe someone can tell me why this will not work either.

Not sure. It does say on the product page that it needs an additional required product. https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-8-female-body-morphs
Just to make sure - you have selected the G8 figure in question when you apply the pose or preset?
And you also do own the G8 female Head and Body morphs?
Have a look in the "Parameters" menu, and look for submenu: 'Real World'
My picture is an example of another 'big girl morph'
Mod Edit :- Image removed due to nudity
If you installed the product while Daz3d was running then you might want to try and restart the program first, morphs and stuff usually require a restart to show up.
I don't have the product but from the store page's Read Me it looks like you need the Genesis 8 Female Body Morphs for it to work: https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-8-female-body-morphs
It looks like you should be able to find the shaping preset (to apply the body shape to a Genesis 8 Female character) in your Content Library under: Shaping >> Apply >> Body
I have these installed already.
Nothing under real world for this. It does have a setting under the "shaping" tab, "currently used" with a dial labeles for this morph. It is set at 100 and moving the dial does nothing.
Daz was not loaded when I installed this morph. I have restarted it many times and still nothing.
I have those body morphs installed already. There is nothing under the shaping folder for this. It is in a pose folder that loads outside the genesis 8 folder where everything is. It just says Genesis 8, click it and there is a pose folder full of the poses you can use, and one apply morph icon which does nothing. The poses will work but the morph does not. The body stays the way it originally loaded.
I have searched all over for anything that may have been overlooked and can find nothing. It just doesn't work, period! I have contacted the help center here for them to review it.
So it sounds like you use the old Poser tree to find your products rather than Content Library (which is how I load stuff, so... awesome). First, try deleting the Gen 8 figure currently in the scene, then load a fresh one. Then, with that selected, try the Shape morph under the pose folder again . If that fails, there should be a morph under the Actor/People or Actor/Full Body part of the new Gen 8 Female that's called Z Plus Sized Model, or something like that. Try dialing that up.
I have it. Installed it. Tested it. The morph does not apply. There is also a folder that applies the poses and the morph simultaneously. The pose applies but not the morph.
The .duf file has the wrong location for the file. In content there's an extra folder in there which is omitted in the duf. I'd mess it up if I tried to insert the missing folder name and if I moved the folder containing the product up a level to match WHICH DIDNT Work I tried it, DIM wouldn't find the files to uninstall. The product itself is in the wrong place totally anyway.
It's broken.
Lots edits as I was checking..
The morph is in data but it has a different name than the .png. The .duf file points to the png name, not the morph name.
It's broken.
I'm tired of this already![laugh laugh](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/teeth_smile.png)
I'm not sure I understand what you're saying.
I checked the actual installed files and found a problem that would make it not work. That doesn't mean that it would work if both the path problem and the morph name problem were fixed. But I was going cross-eyed checking and testing and probably messed up trying to fix it.
The morph doesn't work as installed and DAZ is the one to fix it.
Someone in QA blinked. Product needs a fix upstream of the user. Sounds like the components are either misnamed or misfiled, or both.
File those support tickets. This sounds like it will be an easy fix once someone in the packaging phase sorts it out.
Hmmmm... still not getting it.
I'm also unclear about how to make a sarcastic tone of voice come through on a text-based medium. Especially on a Droid phone where the Forum software makes me type out all my own HTML tags. On a Samsung "keyboard".
I've done all of that. No sucess.
Manually like I have hundreds of other items. Been doing that way since 1999.
My point exactly. The folder installs just above the Genesis 8 folder in the people folder. I tried to move it inside the genesis 8 female poses folder and it didn't help.
Yes. I sent one. Have not heard back yet. Do NOT get this now. Wait on it. It's broken.
The folder mislocation is probably a second bug. I don't understand why QA doesn't catch these folder mislocations, as they have to install and load the products and therefore can't avoid noticing them.
Been four days now since I wrote about this and still have heard nothing from Daz support. It will have to be a fix or a refund. Wish they would respond.
That was not sarcastic. I said I tested it and found problems. The product does not work. What don't you understand?
People who did not have the product or had not installed it were giving reasons it might not work mostly involving user error. I have it. I installed it. It doesn't work. I checked file names and locations. I looked inside the .duf and checked where and what it was pointing too and found both were incorrect so there is no way it would work.
Please remember to address the topic and not the poster.
It's easy to infer tone from text if you try; best not to try.
The product does work but you have to use the correct folders (from the Content Library pane and you got to dig deep). You will find the morph preset under; People/Genesis 8/Plus Size Model. None of the pose preset that I tried set the morph so you have to do that first.
I am sorry "Spit", I was unaware that you were the Daz person who tests stuff for them. I have been a member here since build 1 back in 1999 and I never knew you. The "Ness" and Richard were my mentors. I have 40 pages of buys from the Daz store. I used to host the Daz freebie contest (for 7 years). If I stepped on your toes, my most humble appologies. I appreciate your help. So...where do we go from here? It's broken. If a fix can be done, I would love to try it. I am going to see what "Jestmart" has, because he/she seems to think it works ok though I know where all the files are and have tried the morph before, during and after the poses. Doesn't work for me. Please keep trying for us all who have spent our hard earned money on this broken item in the store. Thanks. Again, my appologies.
I may try to fix it. I have an html editor and may can redirect the morf .duf to the morph and not the .png file. if I can find where it does that...lol. Maybe not. I can try though. From what I see, the modifier points to the morph here. The data .dsf file calls for the Genesis 8 female and is located in the Daz/Genesis8/female/... folder along with the .png file. That is right since it is using the Genesis 8 figure. It calls for 12 Genesis 8 morph outputs that all look like they are pointed in the right direction. The only thing that looks weird is at the end the modifier "id' points to " Z PSM Plus Size Model - 1". Not sure what the "-1" means but could be something. All else looked right here. Still dunno why it doesn't work.
Visual proof.
