G3-G8 Pose Converter Issues
I have some G3 poses that I made and would love to use with my G8 characters but am having an issue in conversion. In the past when converting purchased pose sets this tool works like lighting and does an excellent job! But recently it has been really slow. Like REALLY slow. 12-20mins pass and it's stalled at 12% and only was able to convert a few poses. The list was pretty long so I thought I'd break it up in batches but that didn't work either. The only success I had was to convert one on it's own. Then another. When I tried to convert the third one it was back to Lag City. I saw a little radio button on the bottom that said if it was checked it would do some MetaData/Smart Content thing and that it would take longer. So I unchecked it and tried again. As long as they go to the assigned file, I'll know where to find them. But that didn't have any effect either. It still jams up. Does anyone have any ideas about what I might be able to do to fix this?

What are you using to convert the poses?
No problem. I have all of Zev0's pose converters, but I didn't want to assume. (RiverSoft Art has some pose products, as well, that can also convert from G3 to G8.)
I have not had the experience you mention, where a single pose brings the converter to a virtual halt. I think this is something you should address with Zev0 in the commercial thread: Genesis 3 to Genesis 8 Pose Converter (Commercial). Read through the thread first, it's only 8 pages long. The answer may already be in there. If not, explain what is going on in that thread, so Zev0 can help.
In the meantime, you could move the known culprit pose to another folder, and give the batch another try. Maybe ten poses at a time. I suspect there are more than one culprits, but it may help determine what the problem is if you can isolate the poses that don't want to convert.
Thanks for the advice. I'll take a look at that thread. But it's not just a particular pose that's doing it. Any attempt to convert more than one at a time fails and doing one at a time only works 2wice before I have to shut down Daz and start over.
That is really strange.
Have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the Pose Converter? (My guess is yes, but I have to ask…)
Also, have you recently tried a batch convert on poses you've purchased? Does it still work as advertised? Or does this problem show up there, now, as well?
