Question about the MU 14 Link

Is it the same as the older product but with Daz mats and lights now? I own the old product and am not sure I want to rebuy it for, admittedly, textures that will work out of the box.

    I wondered about that, too

Seems like it since if you look at the product page it gives a link to the older Poser version.

I'm pretty sure the 'old' product came with DS mats as well.

Just not as good ones, I assume.

I own the original version. When I saw this, I went and looked at the readme file in the documentation wiki to see the file list. All the geometry is now in DAZ format. But the texture files were nearly identical (I think there was one or two additional files in the new version, I forget exactly now). The file list in the wiki doesn't give file sizes, though, so I don't know if they were updated with new, higher-resolution textures or not. But considering I do all my rendering in LuxRender, where DAZ-optimized materials are useless, I didn't feel the need to upgrade to the new version. If the texture files have actually been redone, then I suppose I'll consider it the next time it comes around on sale again. (I do not consider the 30% intro price "on sale"...)

Same boat here, I'd be willing to buy a texture/lights add-on, but not the whole package price again.

That said, some of the lighting renders were sure nice...
