Genesis 8 Female Eyelashes

I've been looking at different posts about this, the problem with the G8F Eyelashes is that they come with the bottom layer that is visible in the render.

What is the problem ? Why is this ON by default ? How can you turn it ON and OFF ? Sometimes when loading different characters it seems that it's invisible on that particular character, but not on default G8F, why is that ? How can you turn off the visibility of that bottom layer ? It should have a slider, should it? Regarding the visibility of that layer, i guess is for tears or something, but i can't find ANYTHING to turn that invisible. Can anyone help with this with a somewhat detailed walktrough ? I really find this anoing, since this is stock g8f eyelashes....

Best regards,

Edutzugaya.

That is indeed "tears", or more specifically, the Eye Moisture found under the Genesis 8 Female Eyelashes in the Surfaces tab. This should not be confused with Eye Moisture found under the Genesis 8 Female figure itself. If you just want it to disappear, then you can simply select it under the surfaces tab and set opacity to 0. It should be gone. Alternatively, another way of dealing with it is to adjust the Refraction Weight and Refraction Index (and possibly Translucency Weight) to give you something that looks more like tears. Why you are seeing it with some characters and not with others would seem to be differences in the default surface settings associated with those characters.

(P.S. If you don't really want to delve too deeply into the Surface settings right away, here is a suggestion: if you are happy with the settings for the Eye Moisture found under the Genesis 8 Female figure itself (which covers the entire eyeball), open that surface, right click on the topmost setting and choose "copy selected surfaces" from the popup menu. Now, select  the Eye Moisture found under the Genesis 8 Female Eyelashes, right click on the topmost setting there and choose "paste to selected surfaces" from the popup menu. That will give you the same settings for both.)

Thank you for your reply, but i still can't find the Eye moisture in the surface tab, looked everywhere, search it, nothing. Can you provide a screenshot of where to look ? I've tried editor as well as [presets but i still can't find that ...

EDIT: nevermind, found it in the dropdown ...
