SOLVED - Provence rendering with wonky materials

I love the new Provence set from Faveral. However take a look at this part of the set. The second picture is the daz view port. The first is a render of the back part of the main street. Look at the wall that has the mysterious black space. Also the awning has unnatural stains that don't appear in the view port. I am wondering where this comes from and how to get rid of it.

    Hello,

I'm taking a loom to see if I have the same issue, hang on...

OK, it has to do with you using AoA Advanced Ambient lights.

I did two renders, one with UE2 and one with AOA AA, see below.
I will try to figure out why now....

Edit: sorry for the typos, It's early ;-)

I now what it is (Stupid me)!!!

I had the same issue using AoA and a hair cap, got shadowed where the transmap of the hair cap was. I guess that dirt spot on the wall is made using a Polygon and a transmap and AoA Advanced Ambient makes it shadow the underlaying ploys. I think you need to exclude it from the Light list (still need to figure out how).

OK, you need to switch the light from Both to Front .

Wow, Totte, that fixed it. Thanks so much. The set is absolutely gorgeous now. I did not know about that setting AoA. I'm using that lighting system as my default, because it renders so fast. So now I will know what to do when this pops up.

    Thanks for being so awesome.
