Speckling in Render - progresses the longer rendered; almost like the image is disappearing

I am not sure what causes this. I don't recall changing any render settings; yet today, my renders look like this and get worse the longer the render is allowed. If left alone, the character will seem to disappear.
If I turn on Draw Dome, the effect is reversed. It happens with the default lighting and with HDRIs. The preview lights and headlamp are not on.

This is a known issue. It is fixed in the version of Iray included with the Public Build (beta) 4.11.0.236, or you can select the skin surfaces in the Editor tab of the Surfaces pane and set the SSS type to Mono.
