Copy Surfaces to Face Groups... Quicker way?

Hello,
my old foe rigging again... Me wants to rig a creature. Lucky for me is, that every facegroup I need corresponds to a surface. Because I'm lazy... Is there a quick way to just copy every surface to a Face Group? Quicker then clikcing thrugh the entire process every time?
Thank you in advance!

How are you rigging? For weight mapped rigging you don't need to have groups for the bones, though it will make placing the bones a bit easier if you do and also allows selection of boens with the node tool. It's probably potentially scriptable, but I'm not aware of an existing command or script to do the job.
I'm sorry, that I'm not very experienced in rigging, I just thought, until now, that "Selection Group" in the Joint Editor had to contain, well... something other than "none". If that is not nessessary howether, it makes things easy.
Thank you!
The main benefitsof having selection groups are, in use, being able to select a bone by clicking in the Viewport and, in rigging, if you use the Figure Setup pane the bones will be placed in the bounding box around their selection group which can sometimes be a useful starting point.
