What driver version are you using, and what version of DS (Help>About Daz Studio)?
latest vesion ds and driver up to date.
So that's 419.xx for the driver? Does your system have an Intel or AMD GPU on the CPU, and if it does are you sure DS is using the 1080?
intel i17-87000
ds runs on the 1080, but ds dosn't pick up the cors.
If DS isn't picking up the CUDA cores I suspect it's seeing only the Intel GPU - what is listed in Help>Troubleshooting>About Your Videos Card? The top half-dozen or so lines give the hardware details, ignore the rest.
Thanks, it showing it reconizes evrything.
It may be time to uninstall Daz and reinstall. It may also be worth while to to use DDU, display driver uninstall a free app, to uninstall your graphics driver and then install the newest one.
Don't know if I should create a new thread on what I believe is the same issue, but if I go to "about your video cards" and my 1060 ISN'T listed there, what should I do? I'm sure it was being used before, I don't know what happened, other than I had a restart recently that might have updated something?
I already resinstalled Studio. My card shows up under advanced render settings in the hardware tab, it just seems to have stopped using it. I can't get iray previews anymore either, I rarely use those so not sure when they stopped.
**I rolled back drivers again. It at least appears to be rendering with the card again. I still don't see it under about your videocards, not sure if there is some default setting there or what, but guess it isn't important.
It sounds like Windows Update installed an old Nvidia driver. Go into your windows Update settings and disable installing drivers.
Well, it installed the new Nvidia driver, which was the problem apparently, rolling back fixed it. It is supposed to be disabled unless I specifically tell it to install, so not sure what happened.
