Pin A Particular Product
Hi everyone! :D
How do you put a product at the top of a category?
I'm not talking about favorites/shortcuts/script, I'd like to easily access some products I use oftens, like some light sets etcetera. But now either they're not visible because I've selected something, or I've bought them some time ago and so they're doing (the same with alphabetical order).
How do you solve this problem?
Thanks :D

Go to the file for it in the content library and then right click on the tiem you want to load and choose the bottom option, "create custom action" and it will place it in the scripts section at the top of DS. Then you just click on the scripts tab on top and the drop down appears with the file you want. I keep all base figures in there as well as a couple of utilities and some custom shaders I use often, including the DAZ iray base shader
You could create a new Favourites sub-category and move them to that (though that won't help with filtering). For individual files you can also right-click>reate Custom Action to add to the Scripts menu. You could also use tags or groups to mark them.
Thank you guys, I already know about the script option! :D
The problem is that some products, like lights set for example, have dozens of file, and I don't want to engulf my script/favorite menu!
How does this tags/group thing work?
For tags, in a file-based view (the Files tab of Smart Content or the Content Library pane - it isn't available in the products tab of Smart Content) the Tags tab is in the bottom panle, which may be collapsed (click teh widget in the bottom bar to expand) and you can type a keyword (e.g. Favourite) into the text field, then click Apply Changes - you can then type
key::Tag
to search the Files tab of Smart Content to bring up all items with that tag.
Groups require a bit of fiddling to set up, as explained here http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/referenceguide/interface/panes/smart_content/results_view/start#group and you can use
group::groupname
to filter them.
Remember that you can save filter values in the Smart Content pane, by clicking the magnifying glass icon to the left of the text box and selecting Save Filter, and then select the saved filter by clicking the same icon for speedy access.
Thank you, you always teach me new stuff! :D
These features could be handy for an advanced organization.
For now I've set the "light" save filter. It would be cool if this "save filter" thing memorized the "Filter By Context" toolbox, the "Product/Files" pane view and the selected menu on the left! :D
