Can DAZ Studio be used WITHOUT one drive (in windows)

I've tried disabling one drive when setting up studio but studio cannot find parts of models.

Is there a way to install studio without one drive?

You need a drive to install onto. You can also specify WHICH drive to install onto.

Do you mean install it on a drive other than C: ? there is no where to tell it where to put the "STUDIO" folder other than in the DOCs folder

Do you mean OneDrive the windows cloud drive or the c drive?

That's the one windows cloud drive, I've tried switching it off for the STUDIO folder that has all the models copied to it, but then studio can't find the models

I install my content into my one drive for various reasons.  I doubt you need one drive to run DS/

Not sure what I'm doing wrong then. Studio can't find the DUF files when I try installing without the cloud drive.

What are you content directories now? Edit>Preferences>Content tab>Content Directory Manager

Better to move it out of One Drive, then point DS to the new location - if you just remove the folder from the list the files it contains still won't be found. Check the setting for the Connect libraryt oo, if you have installed content from within DS.

I've changed all the directories for the content so they don't point at one drive. Uninstalled and re-installed a model but it still can't find the DUF file, which is odd because if i "browse to file location" the DUF file is there and if I click on it then it loads fine.

How did you install - Connect or DIM?

Dim, Connect doesn't seem to be working right. It doesn't know when I uninstall something using DIM still shows up in STUDIO. Is there anyway to reset the database?

I've tried uninstalling Studio but when I reload it ,it still thinks I've loaded all the items I've uninstalled?

That sounds as if you may also have issues with the Content Management System - one potential problem is closing DS and launching DI, or vice versa; because of the timing it's possible to end up with PostgreSQL not running once the second applciation is fully open, though it was as it started (and so there was no error).

Any way to reset so I can start again? I've tried uninstalling everything and re-installing but that didn't work

You can reset the database if you want - though I wuld recommend exporting user data first (that has all your saved files and so on). Both, and the reimport option for reloading your exported metadata, are in the Content DB Maintenance dialogue launched from the Content Library pane's option menu - the lined button in the top corner, or right-click the tab.

That's done the trick, it's working now. Will stick to using connect to download but will have to use dim for POSER content.
