vertex gone AWRY when making morphs

I did a morph on a head attachment for G3F and it did import correctly, the vertices had gone bizarc.....I did turn on "keep vertex order" in Blender's export settings to no avail. Any idea why??

  • You are correct that checking 'Keep Vertex Order' is essential, but you must also keep the original vertices whilst modeling/editing in Blender.  The most likely explanation is you changed the vertex order in Blender whilst modeling/editing.  So you can move verticies around by any method you like but you cannot add or delete them in any way because this changes the vertex 'order'.  You cannot for example split a vertex then merge the two resulting vertices, even though the result may look exactly the same as it did before.  You can sculpt but you need to take care to use only sculpt tools that move the existing verts - grab, inflate, deflate, smooth, pinch, crease etc.  are OK.

There is a "Keep Vertex Order" checkmark on importing and exporting OBJs in Blender.

Just select the export options like you see them on the right. You can create a Preset like I did here.

You can find these settings on the bottom left by exporting - by default scaled too smale too see all options.
