Just bought the content in the title and none of it will load. Keep getting the message in the attached image. I think it has something to do with the location; it isn't Daz3D, it should be DAZ 3D. Maybe I'm wrong on that, but regardless, none of the content will load.

I doubt I'm the only person to have this issue, so is there a workaround or something?

How did you install - manually, or via the Install Manager? If you installed manually make sure you didn't copy the Content folder into your My Library folder, or wherever you installed to.

Installed manually and didn't install the actual content folder, just the folders within it

I just checked - using DIM it installs and opens correctly.

Unfortunately, I don't use DIM and have no interest in using it either.

Why not if I might ask? You don't have to use it to install, you can just use it as a download manager. The DIM is pretty much the only way you're going to know if a product is updated.

make sure the data folder from the zip is in the root of one of your content directories - My Library, or My DAZ 3D Library, or whatever you use

I prefer to install everything manually. Plus, I think I remember reading something about it's use that ruled it out as an option for me. I have Daz on my system drive, downloaded content on my D drive and all installed content on my E drive. I think that would have caused an issue in some way for me. It was quite a while ago so not absolutely certain if that was the issue. But I'm happy to install manually. It generally means that if things don't work, there's no one to blame but myself ;-)

Maybe do a search for the dsf file within DS and see where it installed to and then compare it to the path in your screenshot above. If it isn't where it should be then you know you accidentally installed it wrong. If you can't find the file at all, then my guess would be maybe there is another file to it that you missed and needed to download. I know I've done that before....

Yeah, the data folder is in my My Library folder. I'm pretty sure I've installed everything to the correct locations, twice. Here's the zip folder. Shouldn't the location be DAZ 3D? I checked with my Daz Horse 2 zip and that's what it was in there, but for some reason it's Daz3D in this zip.

No the data folder contains both...and if the files itself is showing DAZ3D and the path for "where it thinks the file should be says the same "DAZ3D" then it is both setup to install to and coded to install from there. But there data folder contains both so the only way there would be an issue is if the file is coded to look at the one with the space but got installed to the one without it which going by your warning screen cap doesn't seem to be the case...

I've managed to get it installed and working, but now I have a DAZ 3D and Daz3D folder in my data folder.

Thanks for your help folks. Much appreciated :cheese:

Right, that is how it should be (well technically I am sure it was a typo in the original file structure that got missed but since all the files etc point to it, it doesn't necessarily matter other then giving you one extra folder)

Glad you got it working! :)

I use it mostly because I like being able to uninstall stuff without bothering other products.

But you definitely can have the program and library and installation on different drives; my program is on my C drive (it actually does not matter where your program is, just set the folders), my downloads on G, and my installed content on both C and H. You can set multiple install places and pick using a drop-down; it's really is quite nice.

Thanks for sharing that information! Any special tips or advice that need considered if you do it that way? I installed mine on my C Drive so I wasn't entirely sure (I "thought" you could but didn't want to comment and be incorrect) :) Good to know it can be done :)

All you need to do in DIM is go to the Settings (gear icon in upper right corner) -- on the Downloads tab you can change the downloads location, and on the Installation tab you can add install locations.
