Nice render dleelaw57. It is good to go.
Thank you for the entertainment, Alexa! I loved it! :-)
Dana
gilikshe, You have 7 images are you submitting them all or are you wanting them to be a composite? If you are doing a composite then create a page such as was done here or here. You don't need to use Comic Life you can use Gimp or PhotoShop and Paintshop. Comic Life is free for 30 days. Lots of fun and is easy to use.
You have the required amount of freebies, you do not exceed the paids and you have one of Adam's freebies in your render. So please tell me what you want to do. Check your PMs for your entry prize.

You are good to go Alexa. A funny story. I hope we see more of Freddy-fish!
Lonnie
ZamuelNow please check your PMs. Thanks Lonnie
The good news is, winners (whomever ye may be), that I'm very nearly done with the promised prize. The bad news: I still have to go to work a few times per week, and sleep on occasion...:coolsmirk:
'Cuse me, but I have a judge type question that's probably going to open a whole can of worms, but it just occurred to me...
How do the judges consider an artist's piece that spans several pages? Do we regard the whole story arc as a single entree or should we consider each individual page as a single entree? I'd hate to have a single page out of context to place in the top three instead of the whole story consisting of however many pages be totally ignored.
Does any of this make any sense? Anybody have any thoughts?
Ahhhhh! What's going on here? I just came in and there's worms crawling all over the place! :-P
Dana
Yes,
But our intent was not to judge a full blown story but to evaluate a part of the story. And I quote:
For my judges and contestants here are additional guidelines:
How did the piece convince me that it's from a Graphic Novel or a Comic Book,
Do I see both interplay between the elements and environment,
Is there trans-continuity: who are these people and what is this place? Where did they come from and where are they going from here?
These three elements can be effectively conveyed in a single image or two, even without narrative or dialogue, but they absolutely must be intentional. There doesn't have to be much visible background or environment at all, or not in every frame. It just has to belong if it is there. Example, yet another sky-high fistfight could as easily occur over the city as over open water or farmland, but someone falling is falling from something and to someplace, even if she's still above the clouds. If something is indoors, there is a reason for it to be indoors, and in the room or corridor it is in. If it is outdoors, it is in the country or in the city, at ground level or at height (also applies, to a lesser degree, to views from windows if any) for a reason. As to the "trans-continuity", the questions don't need to be answered by the picture, they merely need to be asked, implied. The answers to the questions need only be implied, one only needs to know that there is one. Also, the "Picture is worth a thousand words" cliché is at full validity here. The less dialogue and/or narration needed to convey the scene(s), the better.
Does this help you, LG?
Lonnie
A last one for fun

yummmm.... just got back from a walk and picked several handfuls of wild low bush blackberries. OMG it's been a half hour and I can still taste them.
Ok this was an awesome contest just for the concept alone. I took it a bit of a different direction, but was really happy with the results. Here's the info and I hope you like it.
Thanks

Yes, it almost gives a watercolor effect to parts of the background!

A kid with spiked hair and an angry cat...doomsday indeed!
Ten cents! Those were the days. Ten or twelve cents, and the special issues twenty five cents. Then they went up and the specials were fifty cents, then seventy five cents. Where were the superheroes then, when we needed saving from all the greed? %-P

Actually, this should offer some insight into the rise in cost for comic books.

http://www.mania.com/history-cost-comic-books_article_116449.html
Alexa :)
I notice something in the end of that article. The first big raise he called "only 63 cents, from 12 cents to 75 cents". The next one he didn't say "only"...$2.24, $.75 to $2.99. But looking at it, the first raise was an increase of 6,25 percent. The latter increase was only 398.6 percent. But the overall increase from the sixties to current is an increase of 2,491.6 percent.
Now, take another consumer product...say, the Ford Mustang. In 1964 it went for approximately $2,300...depending on the options it was ordered with it could be a little more. Today, a new Ford Mustang goes for approximately $22,200. That's for the base model, of course...the higher models and options can take it all the way to $42,000. But for the base, that's in increase of 965 percent. So I'd say comic books have a greatly exaggerated inflation rate. They don't have to meet safety standards, and they are published with modern mass production methods just like an automobile. And body designers for automobiles are like movie stars or rock stars these days. I'm sure they get a lot of money for their designs. A lot more research and development money is spent on a car, too. It looks pretty unbalanced to me.
Makes you wonder, huh?

The SteamTruck is the July PlatClub monthly freebie. We're likely going to need a ruling on this. Does the PC Monthly freebie count like the DAZ Weekly Freebies? Until Midnight tonight the Bizon is still free for PC Members (EDIT: and is $99 for non-PC people aka not-available for purchase).

Nicely done! Seems like quite a complex story, everyone having something going on in their lives besides the job at hand.

Thanks. My goal was to experiment DOF and motion blur with the latest RC3 and 3delight 10. I must says it's not bad. And I was lucky to have found out this backdrop as it goes very well with the DOF and the scene. Didn't have time to customize everything though. But this month was very fun :)
