Who am I kidding, ye she shot that rabbit:)
you know sometimes moon and sun are both up
so the plenty of light gives a cartoonish look
i like the line on her face which is the shadow of the bowstring
the AAL i used results in a much more smooth faceexpression than you see in the viewport
Not often you see a fraction after the loose ... nicely done :)
@Ruphuss, what is she shooting? Looks like she doesnt like whatever it is lol.
Oh, that is bad... I hadn't quite put it through its paces in that much detail yet myself. Well-spotted.
that was the nice look
now she gets angry
and pls click on the image
Lol. Nice render:) Just check the shadow bias on the light casting the shadow from the hair onto the face. It's breaking a bit. The shadow needs to be a bit closer.
i checked cast shadows for the hair to off
because it has strange reactions from Advanced Ambient Light
AAL on and off
Just messing around with something I did earlier.
Just got it downloaded. Only put a couple minutes in on this, but I do believe I will be using this a lot! It reminds me of a design I was trying to make for myself back when I was LARPing as a Scout/Archer. Love the boots!
@sal nice dof effect
"i should have taken the green lipstick for Camouflage" she thinks
advice for posing the quiver
add it after posing the character so ist not bending with the garment top
or unfit after posing
video playlist first old 3DU version for V4 on Genesis second new on Wendy Gen2F
You could try applying the the post with the bow pulled back, then select the quiver and apply the non pulled pose to the quiver. Hope you understand what I am saying I will go off now and try it out see if it works.
Steve.
***EDIT**
Hmm I don't have the problem if I am understanding your post right.
Lol thanks.. :)
I had time to play with Postwork on the render today so thought I would post as its still the ranger..
Ah Wendy this made me laugh! Love your stuff!
Quick Test render just to see what it looked like....
the facepainting tells me she's from the Jadetribe
I do seem to have a thing for face paint don't I? Must be my Native American side.
damn!!! they shoot back
i hope this is "familyfriendly" though there is no chopped head to be seen around
Hmm I think it is a self inflicted wound, did you show her what end was meant to face away from her?
here is my latest one with the ranger.
Some fantastic renders here. This one I did just playing around with Octane, great detail on the clothing and accessories in this set!
hey Sal i like to see a comicbook like that
now a Story pls
what Kind of effect did you use ?
@ dustrider nice render
i was interested in octane myself
i heard there were Problems with animations
you know something about that ?
what hair did you use?
Thanks ruphuss
I was thinking of doing a story to continue with it its something i havent tried before. I used to only do portraits and not using most of the products i purchased along the way, but this has got me trying different things.
The effects are a combination of paintshop pro and postworkshop 2.1. I do own the artist version and the pro version I will email the creator of postworkshop see if I cangive the artis version key to someone else.
also I think the hair in dustriders render is v5 ponytail real nice render...
as i'm working with PS elements 10 i also like this Kind
but coudn't get something like yours to work
Still pretty cool comic type effect... :)
This is my last render of the Ranger for now.. :)
Thanks ruphuss and Sal UK! Indeed, the hair is V5 Ponytail, it fit V6 really well.
ruphuss, I haven't tried doing any animations yet. I had one I was working on a couple of years ago that I was going to try, but 4.6 won't open the file. You might ask Posermocap, in this thread (http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/31530/) he mentioned that he uses it for animations, and can't imagine working without in now. There are several really impressive animations on the Otoy web site.
I just got octane a little over a week ago. I tried the demo, and it didn't take long before I had to get it. The renders aren't instantaneous on my system (a laptop), but they are really really really fast! If I remember correctly, the Ranger render took about 16 min.
working on comicstyle
