Does anybody know how to use the Dflatable Donkey?

There is nothing under the Pose,Parameter tab or in the content folder.

So i tried to do a DForce simulation and the result is not what it should be:

See two images:

Or was this product some kind of Aprils Fool joke?

This product is definitely an April Fools joke, however it should still be usable.

What are you trying to do exactly?

You have to put it on the side, and perhaps use the DForce pin system that's in the store, or maybe primitives... but even then, the image's pose could just be a morph done in zBrush. The product is an April's fools Joke, after all.

You could also check out the dForce thread and ask there if they have any ideas... https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/208141/how-to-use-dforce-creating-a-blanket-draping-clothes-on-furniture-and-much-more-commercial#latest

I found that stopping the simulation before it finishes can give a better effect. If you run it to completion with the donkey standing up he tends to collapse into a shapeless mess.

Here is one I did stopping the simuation before it finished. I also moved the donkey up a bit after the simulation because he had started to sink into the fence, and I adjusted the pose on his front legs after simulating as well. When I did try running this simulation to the end the doney exploded into a mess of polygons.

I posted this info in the thread in The Commons, but I'll post it here, too.

The dFlatable Donkey is based on the 3D Donkey, though there are some notable differences. For starters, there are no bones in the face to open the mouth, and the supporting mesh, (teeth, gums, tongue, etc.,) are not included. The 3D Donkey also includes a main and tail. (I assume because they didn't play nice with dForce.)

The dFlatable Donkey does have the rest of the bones and can be manually posed. But it will also take the poses for the 3D Donkey. The equivalent of the pelvic bone in the dFlatable Donkey is named something else, but if you rename it in the Scene tab, (click on the bone name, hesitate, click on the bone name again,) you can also apply poses for the Millennium Horse. MilHorse poses will not affect the entire Donkey, but can give you a decent starting point for making your own.

D Donkey and Millennium Horse are very old products. I'm not sure buying them or their poses is a good investment, but if you happen to have one or the other anyway, you now know you can use their poses on the 2019 April Foolls product.

    Have fun. laugh
