Seems pretty hard to control. I guess I got used to the individual manual adjustements.
Edit....Getting used to it already. While for some aspects, I still like the manual controls...but for the eye positioning and for the hands, Power Pose is great!

You're welcome! :D
I don't like it for the upper limbs, but I still used it even there to select the node I want, instead of doing that from the viewport!
For the other stuff I like it! Especially the multiple selection movements: for example, you can move the whole head, both arms/leg or close a hand!

Well for upper limbs I still use the manual controls mainly because there are TWO limbs and as such, then I can use the symmetry function. Also for more precise movments, I still like manual better. But Power Pose is a huge time saver when it comes to the eyes. Just to do a simple up/down look-around movement of the mouse positions the eyes right where I want it.
How do you do a whole hand close with it? I have tried moving individual digits and while it works, it is a bit tedious and I prefer doing this manually. I know there is a hand close and fist function manually, but I didn't know there is a function in Power Pose as well.

The points that look like a "sun" interact with more joints than one! There's one per finger, and another one for the whole hand! ^^
Experiment with Power Pose a little bit, it has great features!

Gotcha! Yeah, I saw that with the 'sun' icon with the eyes and figured that would follow suit with the hand. I found out that Power Pose also works with Gen 3 characters too, albeit, not as many functions. Also some moves are separated, such as the eyes. Left/Right is a separate 'button' from up/down. So I can't do the full 'mouse-'round' with it. Yep, I will be definitely playing around with it more to see what I can do with it. But so far it has been a big help with the eyes and some head positioning. It is just for extreme positions of the head, I prefer to work from the lower neck, to upper neck to finally the head. Doing it that way ensures the neck will look right. Many of my models have an athletic to moderately muscular figure and that includes the neck area and it looks funny if the head is turned, but yet the neck is in a forward turned position.
When it comes to arms and legs though, I do know about the 'Symmetry' function under the Edit/Figures menu. That has been a huge help with symmetrical poses. But I found out that it doesn't always work for the hands. But I am a fanatic of hands on waist/hips poses and also arms evenly spaced on handrail poses, so Symmetry is a big help there. Between that and Power Pose, setting up a figure is much easier and faster to do.

That is a given. But with lack of instructions for Daz it is a barage of asking questions for me. Also for the forums, it would be helpful if the search function actually worked!

I don't think anyone does site search better than Google.
At least it's like discovering a new world each time you acknowledge something that has been under your eyes for years but that you've never noticed before! xD
For example I used to right click power pose and to set "Restore Figure Pose". Now I know you can select a random joint and use the same tool at the upper left corner of your viewport.
Or I was annoyed when a pose moved and scaled my figures...now I've changed the default settings opening a pose once while hitting CTRL, and setting what I wanted!
Or that you can hit CTRL+L to light a scene, even if the light bulb seems already on.
Or that you can change some of your render settings WHILE your scene is rendering, clicking on the left of the preview.
You can expand a pillow with dForce setting gravity to less than 0, letting it take a character shape.
All things I've learnt in the last days, after months of using Daz daily xD

@kameneko, I've been using DS almost daily for more than four and a half years, and I still stumble across things that make my workflow easier, and I'm not talking about new features like dForce, either. My current find, something I wish I'd discovered years ago, is "Ctrl+Shift+A", which centers the selected object(s) without zooming in or out, (like hitting the "+" icon in the upper right of the Viewport does.) Ocassionally it works in ways I don't understand, but most of the time it just moves the scene over in my viewport, while retaining the distance and the POV.

Indeed it's a strange hotkey that no one would use as a mistake!
Sometimes I think I should read all Daz documentation and the shortcuts menu xD

What documentation? Really, I have not found much outside of the initial tutorial videos and asking for help here in the forums. Is there a list of all the shortcut keys? I certainly could benefit from the use of that!

The list of shortcut keys can be found inside of Daz Studio. Now I only need to find the post on the forums to tell you have to access it! lol
You can also change those up, so it's best if you grab the one from your install of DS. (I've added a few of my own. It was when I was trying to assign a keystroke combo to select all polys in the Geometry Editor that I discovered Ctrl+Shift+A was already taken. And because I would use the wrong keys to select polys that I discovered what that one did.)

Really? While it is doing a MAIN render (not render mode in the viewport)? Any time I tried to do anything during a render, the render progress box would just flash and Windows would 'bleep'. A big drawback to not having a GPU is the wait time in having my machine tied up.

Yes. You know those incredibly small arrows between columns and such in the layout? Well, you'll find one of those in the middle of the left frame of the render window. Since Daz added that, early in the implementation of Iray, It's been possible to change some of the Progressive Rendering settings without having to restart the render. Changing Tone Mapping settings used to cause the render to start over, but not any more.
I admit, the setting I use the most in the render window is the Max Sample setting. Instead of hitting Cancel, I set the Max Samples to something above where the render is when I decide it's good enough. I do that so any spot renders can have the exact same number of samples.

Ahhhh, yes, I got into it just now! I was wondering if two hourse would be enough for the render I have cooking now and I remember we were mid conversation on this. So I checked back here. I saw the little column arrow on the left like you said and then just dragged it over to get the progressivs settings and then I just increased the render time to another hour while the render was still going.
BTW...off topic. I think in another thread I believe you metioned how to group a bunch of items together so you can move them all at once? I am going to need to do that in one scene I am working on. I THINK it was you that mentioned it. Regardless, if you could tell me, I would appreciate it.

Try this the next time you need answers:
For example, looking for help with power pose, you might search for: site:www.daz3d.com/forums/ power pose how to use
I don't think I've ever hung out at a site that had a decent search function, let alone the ability out search Google.
I feel your pain!

That thread includes a script as well. If you're feeling adventurous, the complete thread is here.
I took a quick look at that, but still don't know what you are supposed to do with it.
