    I have been bitten by an iguana and I have also been bitten by a group of guppies.  I never been bitten by a piranha but rather be bitten by a guppy instead.

    Well I learned my lesson from the movies about these fish, don't go in questionable pools that appear to have no one around...lol

    Movies are not always accurate, especially when about piranha from what I understand.  Those movies are over dramatic and portray them as evil fish.

    Perfect. I need piranha for my novel project. Thank you for another great animal prop. Any chance we might see an arapaima fish or Amazon river dolphin in the future?

    This Tupy-Portuguese word sounds something like "pee-RAN-ya". The Portuguese"nh" sounds like the Spanish "ñ" (like in the Spanish word señorita)

    By the way, you guessed it right: "señorita" in Portuguese is "senhorita".
