Skirt for Genesis? STILL Need help

I'm looking for a good looking Skirt for Genesis that goes down at least mid thigh, if not a bit lower, because the Genesis Morphing Fantasy Dress isn't working for me since it goes too far away from the skin for my needs. So, transmapping that won't help me. So, I need a skirt. Not too short, not too long. About mid thigh or a bit lower down the leg. Has to be for Genesis.

Can anyone help please?

I have several free skirts for Genesis at Share. Various lengths so you can see if there is one to suit.

I'm sorry Wilmap but your dresses are not working properly for me. I downloaded and re-downloaded and whenever I try to load it within Daz Studio, I get a "Missing Files" error. I put them where the ReadMe says to put them. Nothing works.

Even tried putting the files somewhere else, still doesn't work.

P.S. The Genesis Mini Skirt and Crop Top is the one I'm having trouble with. The one on Page 7

Which file does is say is missing?

Are you sure you put them in the correct folders? No-one else has said they have a problem with that particular set.

I've just downloaded the file from Share and checked it with a script I have to see if anything is missing, but it tells me that everything is there and where it should be.

The only thing I can suggest is that you re-check to make sure you have copied the data, People, and runtime folders to the same folders in my Library.

I put the files in My Library. The file that is missing (but it's not) is /data/Pusey Designs/Genesis Mini Skirt & Crop Top/Genesis Mini Skirt/Genesis Mini Skirt-uvlayout.dsf

I re-downloaded your freebie and still get that error message and the skirt will not load. Not even when I go to My Computer and load it up that way. I searched for the file using my Computer and it's there. So I don't know why D/S won't recognize it since I have the file.

I'm sorry but I just don't know what to suggest.

    It's ok, Wilmap. :)

Not sure why it won't work, I even tried some of your other freebies and I keep getting the same thing.

The Diner Waitress has a skirt that goes down to the knee. Is that too long? I don't remember if you can adjust the length.

If you can't get any of them to work then you must be installing them in the wrong place. I can't think of anything else at the moment. They seem to work for everyone else.

    An excellent suggestion and it's $1.99! :D

I can transmap it to be a bit shorter, no worries. :)

Do you have it? If so, could you put it on Genesis then turn the dress's opacity down by 50% and do a close up render of the hips so I can see how far or near the dress is to Genesis please?

Indeed. I was putting the files in the wrong place. I was placing them in Studio/My Library when I should have been putting the files in Studio/Content

Once I did that, they work like a charm now. :)

Oh good, so glad you got sorted!

But I don't understand why they worked in contnet. They should be in My Library.

I see you managed to get your problem solved but here is the image you asked for. I used the default woman figure and no morphs on the skirt. The skirt does come with a bunch of morphs. There is no morph for length though. I see a lot of space in the waist but there is a fit morph for that area. The skirt is designed to go over the shirt so it is a little loose in the waist. I think it is a good deal. For the pc price you get an entire outfit.

It's a little too long but that can fixed with a transmap (too bad the skirt will lose it's thickness). Thanks so much for doing this. That dress looks really good. :)

You could try to add the transmap to the displacement channel too and play with the settings.
I get good results with this sometimes.
Not tried with a skirt..but who knows.
    Maybe that helps.
