Making changes to DzFire Cyborg

I'm getting the hang of DAZ3d and animating, yet I would like to make modifications to the model. It says its compatible with Daz3d and Poser. Does this mean I need to purchase Poser to make modifications. I would like the same ability to modify as the author does.

It doesn't appear that the models on Daz3D really state what software was used in the making of these figures, props, or scenery. They only say if they are compatible.

I have no issues purchasing Poser if need be.

If you want to make modifications to a model you need a modeling program like Hexagon or Carrara, Wing or Blender. Poser does pretty much the same thing DAZ Studio does.

Thanks, I can take single objects into Hexagon and make changes. I must be missing something when it come to the more complex models that are rigged. Is there something in Daz I need to do (ungroup items) and then go to Hexagon. In Hexagon the model is all one object.

The model is a single model but if you open it up in Hex, on the right side you'll see scene (scene tree) that show all the groups; hip, chest, neck, head, etc...

I just figured out that if you click on "File" and then "Send to Hexagon..." it does not let you do anything. I had to actually "Export" Mr. Cyborg, open Hexagon, and then open up the .obj file. I gave up on it earlier because no matter what I did it would stay as a complete model.

Does anyone know what "Send to Hexagon" does or is used for?

    Thanks DzFire, love your work!
