Hi guys, I'm still a beginner with Daz Studio but recently a strange error happened with some shadows, an image is worth more than 100 words.
I tried a little to play with the settings to improve the dress around the body, but the problem remains so do not think it is related to the quantity of polygons.
I also added some lights to see if that was the problem but nothing has changed.
Daz Studio 4.11 Beta.
Thx.

Looks like the dreaded terminator shadow artifact. I think the fixes in studio is adding or cranking up subdivision or smoothing. I never seen it in DS as of yet.
I don't necessarily see anything "wrong" with the shadows. It looks to me more like the shirt doesn't have enough polygons to shape around the body. I would try adding subdivision.
Also, while the Iray preview usually shows you close to what a render would look like, always a good idea before you chase something like this for too long to do a full render and make sure it isn't just some artifact that the preview engine is creating for you. There are certain parts of rendering a scene that the preview doesn't do in the interest of being more responsive.
