Cannot figure out how to apply a colored texture

Hi all,  I am new and trying to figure things out.  Some days go better than others :).  I want some different colored hens and my friend suggested that I color the textures for Henrietta Hen so I found them, made copies with new names, and colored what I needed in an art program. No matter where I have looked I don't see how to get the new colors onto Henrietta.  Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

    Select the hen, open the Surfaces pane, in the Editor tab select the plumage surface(s) - unless you have chnaged everything - then click the little box which pops-up a thumbnail of the image when hovered over and from the menu that appears seelct browse, then navigate to and select your modified image.

    Thank you Richard.  That little hen has been kind of weird to work with.  It has 2 hens listed and with a lot of playing around I am finally getting what I need.  It is a very cute little chicken if I do say so and I am having fun playing with it.
