How to convert textures and materials from Gen 3 to Gen 8?

Hey guys,

I apologize in advance if this is posted in the wrong thread. Not sure where to post it.
I'm wondering if there is a way to convert materials and textures meant for Genesis 3 figures, for Genesis 8 figures? I would like to purchase this product:

But I'd like to use it on my Genesis 8 figure. Is that at all possible somehow?

In many cases items like that will work on G8 also. If it doesn't let you apply it, then add it to the skin you want on G3 and then save the whole skin as a material preset and then you can apply the whole thing to G8 since they use the same UV mapping.

You can also just manually load the textures; they are the same UVs.

I use https://www.daz3d.com/n-g-s-anagenessis-2-revolution to then apply a shader and tweak to get the look im after.

For that particular product, I expect that doing as FSMCDesigns suggests would be the best option, although you could do it manually.
