I need the UV's of these clothes https://www.daz3d.com/slinky-suit-for-genesis-3-female-s

but there aren't any templates or any UV texture included when I downloaded it. I can see an UV map in the UV view though. How do I get the UV map out of there so I can edit it in photoshop?

Also bonus question: When I make a cylinder from create, new primitve I also find an UV map for it, where can I get this one out of daz3d?

I use UV Tailor. You can save a file as large as 4096 pixels, but if I recall correctly, it won't enlarge it if the original texture is less than what you specify.

  • Is there another way? I can't spend 30$ on this.

Before I got UV Tailor I used to export the clothing pieces individually as .OBJ and import them to Sculptris. Then I used the fill/paint tool to color it. Finally, I saved the created texture limited to 2048x2048) and used that as a reference to refine the clothing design with GIMP.

You can use blender to extract the UVs if you first export the clothes as obj.

If you are simply after a template, would it be good enough to go into UV View, hit Shift+F11 to go into full screen mode, and then ake a screenshot?

Or load the obj into UV Mapper Classic and save your templates from there
