Why oh Why on Why won't the 3DL lights I changed to be in Photometric Mode show up in my iRay Render

Why oh Why on Why won't the 3DL lights I changed to be in Photometric Mode show up in my iRay Render?!!!
This is one of the main reasons why I never try renders outside of portraits using 3rd party lighting presets for portraits & daytime renders using sun-sky.
I jacked the lumens way way up and they still don't show. The openGL textured preview shows the light previews how I want the light to fall but on render...nothing!
I try the Boss Portrait Lights in this scene and they work so I compare the setting with one of the lights I changed to be in photometric mode already in my scene and they are the same but still no dice.
If I create DS primitives, make them emissive lights, & then use the cutout opacity to make the primitives invisble then I can get light but that is not the ideal way because the built in lights have all these other properties I can change.
Thanks.

I am now using Sickleyield 3 point lighting set up tutorial (the one with key, fill, & rim lights) and still no go & she has the lumens pumped up to 150000000! I've checked the render engine & it is nVidia iRay...
emissive geometries seem much better at replicating obvious cause & effect than these photometric lights built into DS Public Beta 4.11.0.x. Maybe there is something broken in the DS Pro 4.11.0.x Public Beta

Well I have no ideal with when I create photometric lights in DS it's not working but the BOSS Studio Portrait lights product works so I said forget it and just made a bunch of emissive geometries instead that do work. Think I will take a look at how the 'Painter's Lights product that was removed from the DAZ Store does it.

OK, so apparently I've found a bug in the DAZ Studio Pro Public Beta 4.11.0.239.
I've tried both Painter's Lights, BOSS Studio Portrait, and adding photometric lights myself and while they show in preview mode they do not render. Emissive light geometries & Sun-Sky work.
Maybe somewhere if all those geometries in my scene is a 3DL surface messing things up? It's supposed to autoconvert anyway. Maybe it's one of the filters in the render tab?
Lighting that works is pretty fundamental to a working render engine.

Maybe the problem was I merged a very old 3DL scene from a product I bought in the DAZ Store into my new iRay scene and that's corrupted the format of the DUF such that my photometric lights no longer work!
I guess I cloud save scene subsets & import all of those into a new iRay scene.

So you merged 3DL lights into an IRay scene? Try copying one light at a time, then delete it, create a new light and paste (with IRay chosen as the renderer). Just a wild guess...
If you merged old into new, it may have been something simple as making sure the merged lights had photometric mode turned on. It was not a feature in the old lights and would not be on by default.
Thanks. I've checked all that.
Added Boss Portrait Studio to the scene. Added Painter's Lights to the scene. Added Photometric lights to the scene. Selected the Photometric Toggle on the original scene's lights (Merlin Studio's "The Church Bundle" and to no avail.
Takes so much fine tuning dramatic lighting out of the possibilities to not have that feature.
I will try exporting major pieces as different scene subsets soon and then import each subscene and render test in a new iRay scene.
I could also probably read the DUF file if I wanted and compare it to a normal photometric light working scene too.
Thanks though.

I exported all of the components as sub-scenes & re-imported in a new scene & the problem remains. I guess I will submit a ticket & send them the scene.
There is also a problem in that if I do the 'godrays' volumetric tutorial by SickleYield then a candle, the wax part, and a component of clothing I had used a dFormer on disappear from the textured preview viewport. However, they do show up on render.

I opened a ticket # 296143 as it must be a bug in DS

OK, I will close that ticket. The problem was photometric & Sun / Sky don't work together. I have to use photometric & Dome & Scene.
