Saved Custom Actions

A couple time in the last few weeks the custome actions that I saved in the Scripts sub-menu of the Main menu were gone when I wanted to use one. Each time I humted down the ones that were there and replaced them, Today I took the prosactive step to find the Scripts menu where they are stored so that  I could copy them as a backup for the next time they vanish. Well, I was unable to locate them anywhere, not even the the AppData-Roaming folder. Does anyone know where these critters are stored/saved?

customactions.dsx in %AppData%/DAZ 3D/Studio4 has the list of actions, menus.dsx lists which items appear in menus. You can export your settings from Window>Workspace>Customise

Rob has a sample script, on gathering together a series of files and archiving them, which uses just what you want - aback-up of the interface files - as its example http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/referenceguide/scripting/api_reference/samples/file_io/file_zip_compress_each/start

Download the script, drag it into the DS Viewport to run it, and the back up will appear in the Temp folder on your C: drive

Thank you, Richard; most excellent advice/indormation as usual. I DLd the script and have it saved for future use. It wouldn't run when dragged to VP, but I was able to make a backup of the actions. I'll keep trying to get it to work. :O)
