Hi,

I am editing the clothes made with MarvelousDesigner with blender and studying the procedure to complete the work in daz studio.
but,if you use the dfoce simulation, the clothes will disappear.
What causes the clothes to disappear in the dforce simulation

Here are the steps I have tried.
*Please see the video for details.

-1 Export each part of MD clothes in OBJ format.
-Export clothes made with two blenders as OBJ.
*The export options are as follows:
    -Selection only
    -Include edges
    -Include UV
    -Write materials
    -Poly group
    -Keep the order of vertices
    -Scale 1.0
-3 Import to daz studio.
-4 Edit> Object> Transfer Utility process.
-5 add dForce dynamic surface.
-6 Simulate (default options).
-7 clothes disappear in the middle of the simulation.

thank you.

Please leave the viewport in wireframe, or use Smooth Sahded, since it is going to show a nude figure.

Does the mesh simulate if you just import it and apply the dForce modifier (so that it simply falls down)? Do the models exported from Marvellous Designer work, without going through Blender? My first suspicion would be that there's some mesh intersection between the layers following the merging.

I investigated the possibility of overlapping mesh layers.
As a result, as you guessed, a duplicate was found.
I was able to solve the problem with your advice.
    Thank you very much.

  • I made clothes with hexagon and am having the same problem.  How did you solve this?  I have tried just importing the object and applying dforce but it still just disappears

  • I have finally figured it out!  If anyone else has this issue; this is how I fixed it.

Select the object with dforce applied

Go to Edit-Object-geometry-select dforce starting collision verticies

Select your geometry editor tool and right click the select selection type and vertex

this will then display the collided verticies.

Go back to your 3D editor and find thoes verticies

pull them around and you will find hidden faces or edges

delete the extra geometry or work it in just not collided and re save or export your item

import the new item into DAZ and it should work.

  • If the clothing was created in MD, do not flip normals! Leave it as it is by default!
