It Seems DIM Doesn't Have All My Products (SOLVED)

Just by chance I noticed already that one of my products in my Product Library isn't even listed. Tears Hair.

The ONLY reason I found it was I was locating my V4 hair, I went to the SHOP section, hair>V4 and Tears Hair was there, I clicked on it and yes, I bought it (and verified it in Product Library) and it's not in DIM.

Hmmm. Seems I can't trust DIM to have my products in the Ready To Download section.

These products have not been combined according to the Product Library. Tears Hair For Genesis is not Tears Hair. Or is there something I don't know / haven't considered?

You might want to drop a ticket on customer support. I'm showing both Tears Hair (sku 14611) and Tears Hair for Genesis (sku 14660) - as well as Colors for Tears Hair (sku 14613) in my DIM Installed tab.

That's funny. Does it show as something you can prompt to download via the product library using the install manager option?

The only time I've ever had this happen where content has not shown up is if it hadn't been converted yet, or my dim filters are too restrictive. Since I know you probably already checked that, I'm at a loss.

Thanks for letting me know- but I am having FAR greater problems- every time now that I install something, the entire downloads list goes to 0, the installed only shows what I installed (aka, 2 things) etc. It gets wiped clean and I have to turn off the DIM every time and come back in. I'll go post in the DIM thread as it seems I'm having bigger issues than just missing content.

I'm sure you've already checked this and ruled it out, but is the search box clear? If I use the install with DIM button at the end of an order, it adds the skus to that box and I can't see anything else until I clear it again.

What Operating System? Are you using symlinks/aliases/junctions to avoid having DIM write to the Public user on C:?

This was something that I typed in the search alphabetically, so I'll try another product and see if the search box is the issue. And you can't assume I know anything, lol. I'm new to DIM. (and dim-witted regarding it!) Back in a few minutes after I try another product. Thanks for the tip.

Well, she nailed it. EDIT (Or he? Sorry Temporal, I can only go by the avatar) It was the search function.

But that means I still have the issue of missing products (one that I know of, so I know there's bound to be more as that would be too coincidental to have one out of the first eight I searched missing.)

Female pronouns are correct. Thank you for checking. :)

Glad it was that simple to fix!

No idea about the missing dls though. :\ I've only had that issue with items that haven't been converted yet.

You're welcome- cute avatar! I made the mistake one time of using the pronoun "she" for a female avatar, and of course, it wasn't. So lesson learned. Of course, I have a horse, so.... lol.

Hmmm.. Something is off with either your DIM or its settings... Here is the Hair from my Default DIM.

I figured it out- since there are 3 sections (ready to download, ready to install, installed, and only those two showed up under the ready to install, the Tears Hair had already been installed so it wouldn't show up in the "ready to download" search. Ta-duh. Because doing that search in Installed gives me all three products.

So now you know when the next new DIM users says "I"m missing products" what to ask.

"HAVE YOU ALREADY INSTALLED IT, DUMMY?"

I'll change the thread to Solved.
