Finicky Aniblocks

Why is it that some animblocks work great and others don't seem to work at all.  I apply the block to the fig and nothing happens. I try baking to keyframes and nothing results from that. I try to clear the animation of a figure and suddenly all the morphs are lost. I love Daz Studio but wish it were more reliable and predictable.
