App issues

So i have a pretty heavy scene that i wanna animate, so i'll do a 1 second 30 fps image series. So started rendering, all good, my ram seems to be enough, the graphic card it's ok.. and my cpu is NOT used for the rendering. First frame done (one hour) , second one started to use CPU and not GPU, although the GPU looks like it's already at full capacity (1060 6G) and i don't understand why. Why is that the first frame was just fine but not the second one ? I guess the program doesn't clear the stage between the two and assumes that my gpu is full and starts using the CPU ONLY (4h for the same render), and also keeps the gpu at full capacity. I literally have to do this one frame at a time so i don't get to render with CPU.... is there anything that i can do to help with this issue?

i Just tried it as of right now and it works, sort of, so it works like i wanted, not going into the CPU part, but the problem i have with is is that altough i started to "save" on frame 10, it started all over on frame 0 ....
EDIT: i went to the frame 10, hit save and so on for the next 10 frames. always starts with frame 0....
