Normally its the other way around: you buy a prop, you have to install manually because its only a poserinstaller and i have only DS4+ set in my daz install manager. Then you open it and you see that the monster vehicle has no preset poses for any of the characters and it has only 3 material zones.
So you take it in another 3D program (like C4D in my case) and try to add some material zones etc...

BUT: in this case, i opened it in C4D and i see about 15 different materials and just as much selections presets. It were so many, i even didnt know where to put the 3 colortextures+Bumpmaps and had to just test it by trial and error :) !

This is a render of my first attempt, totally wrong, but i liked the outcome...

Is there any kind of cockpit for a driver character to sit in it?

Yes, i made a quick render and put M5 in 1 of the seats, this way you also get a better idea of the size of this thing.
Now you know why i called it Monster Vehicle instead of MarsVehicle...

*jaw drop* Holy smokes! I could fit the entire Bat Family/Flash Fam/ and a few other teams in that beast! From the page images you have no idea just how huge this things is.

I thought it was a "one man vehicle", this looks like an "extended family vehicle" ;-)

HA! From the promo pictures I thought it was the size of a riding lawnmower, more of a Mars Rover type vehicle than a Jawa Sand Crawler

Yeah, they should have had an M5 in the scene just to show the size (size does matter, whatever they say)

Like Totte said, I thought it was a 1 man unit, I had no idea it was that big from the promo shots, looks a lot more interesting now! Thanks for the images.

No, its just 1 obj with no morphs as far as i can tell.
3 material zones in DS3.6, but like i said 12+ materialzones in C4D.
So, i think , for retexturizing if needed, it is enormous versatile.
With all the saved selections (again, only tested in C4D, going to import it in my fav Carrara very s00n ( ;) )), one could make his own morphs i suppose.

LOL I also thought it was a one-man vehicle!

Needs some material tweaks to render well in DS 4.6, gonna play more with it when time permits.

    My idea exacly.
Although some parts on the exterior allready render farely good.
Didnt find the right lighting though...
So all you find, plz certainly post here with settings.
I think this could be a marvolous vehicle in time...
    Glad i bought it.

Sheesh, like a lot of people, I was totally wrong on the scale. That thing is huge.

    Another scale render.
And the squad says to the MarsVehicle: "if the sun bothers you, you may stand in my shadow..."

    Hey Scythar,

    Great shot!

I tried to render it out with some good lighting but it kept coming out as bright pink. I changed the lighting tone which complimented the vehicle, but not the rest of the scene.

I think if I use it I'm gonna have to green-screen it.

That's a really nice shot you've captured though.

Sounds like there are spaces in the names of the material zones, DS treats spaces as the end of the name, so material zones named like Material 1, Material 2 and Material 3 will all appear to DS as Material, and it will combine all of them into one material zone.

That pinkish look is due to the reflection map. I was wrong bdw, gaaien. If you open iT in DS you Will see al the materialzones in the sharing tab. There you Will have to kill all the reflection maps for starters. Now i am going to Searcy for beter alternatieve for the different materials.
Omg the typo's. This is what happens of you type english On An iPad with the dutch language corrector On...

Trying to layer textures on top of each other in Carrara, at least on the UV maps that seem usefull. Big parts of the the UVmap are uotside the square -1 ... 1 boundaries.
So if you want to retexture, some parts would need re- UVmapping first...

I imported it into Vue, to give it a test run. It holds some promise.
