How Do You Use "Fantom" Correctly

I need to create a shadow with an invisible object. I've tried it several ways, but applying UberSurface Base and turning on "Fantom" is supposed to work, but when I apply the shader and turn on "Fantom," the plane I'm test still shows up in my render.

What am I doing wrong???

Could it be you have raytrace enabled, so it still shows in reflective surfaces?

Here is a sphere with OmUber applied, a slightly reflective plane, a skydome and a distant light.

    Fantom and raytrace enabled:

    Fantom on, raytrace off:

    You are rendering in 3Delight?
