How to save poses so they do not snap back to the 0,0,0 coordinate

Hello,
When I move G8M (any charcater) to the right, left, front, back or somewhere on the grid the poses keep snapping back to 0,0,0 coordinate when I apply and/or save a pose. Can some one advise how to save poses so this will not happen?
Thanks for any assistance,
BG

How are you moving? Good practive is to use the hip bone to make any changes needed for the pose (to keep the feet on the ground, or to position figures in a multi-figure pose) while placement within the scene is handled with the figure node - ideally they get saved separately so that you can use the same saved pose in mutliple locations, adn place the figure in a target location with the option to use any pose on the figure in that location. The options dialogue when saving a pose preset lets you decide which bones to include.
Hello, thank you for your response. When a figure is loaded and a poses is applied to that figure I use the x, y, or x translate slider to move the figure to a location on the grid. When I apply a new pose to the same figure somewhere on the grid, it snaps back to the 0,0,0 cooridinate and then assumes that selected pose. What I am seeking is a "setting" that lets you save the applied pose anywhere on the grid without it moving back to the 0,0,0 cooridinate.
Are those poses you have made yourself?
When applying a pose, you can hold <ctrl> down while doubbleclicking; then you get a menu up where you can chose not to include transformations.
Yes, I created the poses myself. I assume there is a setting to check/uncheck to save without it moving back to the 0,0,0 cooridinate.
Maybe it involves turning off the limits to keep it from moving?
In that case, move the figure using the figure node not the hip and when saving your pose use the options dialogue to exclude the figure node - just take the hip and everything below it. That is how store poses (should) work.
Thanks! Looks like that worked.
What I usually do is to create a group and parent the figure to that group. When I need to move or rotate the figure, I use the group coordinates rather than the figure's. It works for me.
When you save a pose preset, in the Pose window:
In the grouping under Hip, General Transforms moves, rotates and scales the figure. You normally use this to record movement and rotation of the figure locally. Scale is a special use not normally used in regular poses. If you have moved the hip (normally up/down which is Y) or rotated it, then check the appropriate translation and/or rotation box.
The second grouping starts with General and this controls the root. You would normally leave this unchecked unless you want to specifically move the figure somewhere, say, within an environment.
I do this too. The figure always remains at (0,0,0) relative to the group, so poses don't usually moew the figure around.
It has the added benefit that if you set the visibility of the group to off, the figure, hair and all the clothing become invisible - letting you quickly hide figures with one click when you want to do so.
