Try selecting a preset layout (Menu->Window->Workspace->Select Layout...) or style (Menu->Window->Style->Select Style...) to see if you get back to familiar ground.

That looks more like the effect of installing an update to DS while DS was open - in which case you will need to make sure it is closed, uninstall, and reinstall.

Nothing comes up to choose from.

    Gonna re-install
This is the Beta ver. 4.11 and it's prob a glitch.

    UPDATE:

As I think about it I was having no issues with the 4.11 this last 2 weeks until yesterday when I booted a second Daz window simultaneously with teh first window. That's when I got the "white screen" on the second window only. The initial boot window was fine.
After that all boots came up "white window".

Went to IM and unin'd Daz/64 from the list w/o deleting the 4.11 desktop icon
    Re-installed Daz/64 Win 4.10.
After the install, booted from the desktop icon (Ver 4.11) and got the same results.
Closed it and booted the Daz/64 Ver 4.10 and got the layout back.

Apparently it's in the Beta ver.

    Deleting the Beta ver now.

The two versions keep their style files separate.

    Hmm.
In any case, all is well again on 4.10

This is why I'm slow to upgrade anything.

There are too many successful Beta users for it to be an issue with the Beta version.

    Really?
    That's your best answer?
You must be one of the designers then.
"It can't be the software. I wrote it!"

I personally installed and used the "Beta", 4.11 version for several weeks and had no issue of this nature but apparently, while browsing through the "File", "Edit", "Create" etc... while running two open Daz 4.11 windows, somthing changed that caused this to happen.

After nearly a year of working with 4.10 under "the same conditions" (as near as I can remember anyway) I never had this issue or anything similar to it.
And even when I "accidentally" changed the layout format early in my Daz experience, I was able to reset the layout via the "Window" - "Workspace" - "Layout" commands shortly afterwards.
Had you actually looked at all the info including the pic, you'd note that the "Layout" selections in the 4.11, "White Screen" area was absolutely blank yet 4.10 on the other hand, shows a selection list.

Assuming your rash declaration of the Beta version being infalable (which is in and of itself odd considering it's labeled "Beta") and thereby implying "Operator Error" on my end, why does it work fine in 4.10 and not in 4.11?
Maybe it's the cup of coffee I set next to the computer while running 4.11 and then took away when I reinstalled 4.10???
Or the cat that moved after I banged the desktop and then reinstalled 4.10?
Or maybe I'm not sitting in the correct position to make 4.11 work right?

    Don't get me wrong here.
While I don't necesarilly need any of the new features in 4.11 I wouldn't mind upping the version anyway but I obviously can't use it in it's current, apparently unstable state so my question still stands.

Has anyone run into this and how did you correct it?

    BTW
I have not yet tried reinstalling the 4.11 version over the new 4.10.

Having 2 instances of DS open at the same time is not recommended by Daz. Something obviously damaged the layout files used by 4.11, maybe one of the DS instances tried to write to it when it was used by the other or something like that.

4.10 still works fine as the beta and general release use layout files stored in different folders (it's the same for other technical files like preferences, and is done on purpose as some new parameters used by the beta may not be compatible with the general release), so a problem to 4.11 layout files would not impact 4.10.

    Have you tried reinstalling 4.11?

Make sure that 4.11 is closed (check Task Manager - it can take a while if it's clearing out a big scene), uninstall, reinstall. I'm pretty sure that one or both of your instances was still running when you isntalled the latest update last week (it could have beena  cosmic ray scrambling soem bits on your drive, or just a secor goinf bad in the course of events, but this is something that happens when an update is installed and the application is still open and every isntance I am aware of has been down to just that).

@handyman4545 "I have not yet tried reinstalling the 4.11 version over the new 4.10."

Beta versions do not overwrite the release versions.
