How do I install Daz into a specific storage space?

https://uploadir.com/u/lyr4il39 Here is my problem, I want to install DazStudio into the D: drive but everytime I try to install, it goes directly into the C: drive. I've tried to change directories, made sure the install was in a folder in the D: drive and still, it default install in the C: drive. Please help me, I've been pulling my hair out trying to figure this out and would really appreiate any help. Thanks!

Is this content or the application? Please post a screen shot of the paths set in Install Manager - click the gear icon at top-right>Installation tab.

OK, so those are all set to the C: drive still. Assuming it's the content, which does account for most of the data, that you want to move click the + at the bottom of that dialogue, just above the Show Log... button, and give your new location a name, then click the ... button and select the folder you want to use. Once you have the new location, click the Current button at the bottom, and pick your new location. Now when you install content it will go to that location (you cana lso select installed content in the Installed tab, right-click, and use the Reinstall option to "move" what is already installed.

Having moved the location you will then need tot ell DS wheer to look - the most reliable way is to download http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/referenceguide/scripting/api_reference/samples/file_io/install_manager_config_import/start (there's a download link above the actual script), then launch DS and drag the downloaded script into the Viewport.

That didn't work for me, but Thanks anyways. I don't know if this is important but I manually install everything I buy and the My Daz 3D Library disappeard when I did this.

This worked for me. Set up a DAZ folder on the D: drive. Inside make a "Installer Manager" folder and a "My Daz Library" Folder. Then install daz3d into the main folder for a total of Three folders. Install manager gets installed into its folder. Then follow this list. a youtube video is included but is for a older Build but you still get the idea.

First, set your new path in Install Manager:

    1. Open Install Manager.
    2. Click the Gear Icon in the upper right corner.
    3. Click the Installation Tab.
    4. Click the Plus Button in the bottom left corner.
    5. Name your new installation.
    6. Click the "..." button.
    7. Browse to your new hard drive, and select the folder you want your content to be installed to. (WARNING: All content must be installed to this folder, in order for it to run correctly.)
    8. Click "Choose"
    9. Change the dropdown menu next to the heading "Current" to your newly created folder.
    10. Accept the changes made.

The next step is to tell Daz your path:

    Please follow these steps:
    1) Open DAZ Studio
    2) Click on the Daz menu located at the top left.
    3) Click Preferences...
    4) Click on Content Library (top right)
    5) Click the bottom button "Content Directory Manager"
    6) Select DAZ Studio Formats. You'll know it's selected because there will be an orange outline around it.
    7) Click the "Add" button on the left under directory. Browse to the Installation path from DIM (the folder you added on the external drive) and click Select Folder.
    8) Select Poser Studio format.
    9) Repeat Step 7.
    10) Click "Accept all Changes Made".
    11) Restart Daz Studio.
