Recemmendations for Graphics card?

So I'm sure this is a question that is commonly thrown around alot. I recently got into working with Daz Studios and use to work with Poser years back. I noticed the stark difference between rendering times and was looking to find some ways to improve the time it takes.

Current Build:

Processor: AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core Processor 4.00 GHz
NVIDA GeForce GTA 960
RAM: 16.0GB
Windows 10

I'm thinking the prime thing to upgrade would be the graphics card, I'm looking towards the GeForce GTA 1060 6GB Dual Fan but it is a pretty penny. The question being, if I upgrade to this card. Would I see any notable difference in rendering speeds? I'm on average looking at about 50 minutes with one character and a small room. And thats to clear out any fireflies and noise. Anyone have recemmendations?

I'd say the 1060 is a good value if that's what your budget allows. It's a good bit faster than the 960 and it has 3 times as much VRAM, so you can work on larger scenes. The next step up would be the1070 8Gb, but that's a $100 price jump.

Also, you could try the intel denoiser. I haven't used it, but others on this forum swear by it. https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/316206/denoise-renders-and-save-a-lot-of-time-nvidia-not-reqd

Big Edit: Sorry I didn't realize the 1660 is only a few dollars more. That's definitely a better choice. More recent hardware, same amount of VRAM and everything else.

As Kitsumo says, the 1660 is a better card for just a few dollars more. Just be aware that you will need to run the 4.11 beta version of Studio to use it. But, yes, either would be an improvement on the 960. Stay away from the 1650. The reviews on it are disapointing.

I'd go for the GTX 1660/Ti too! It costs around the same, if you don't want to buy it used, but it has some architectural improvement that could give even bigger advantages in some months/years.

You'll see a performance improvement, but the most important thing here is the VRAM: if you don't have enough, you can't render with your GPU, and the all process if much slower. 6Gb is cool.
