How do I create an IK chain

Hello,

I've created a prop which has some rigging on it.  I'm trying to find out how to create an IK chain for a part of this rig.  I see references in older documentation to an "IK Chain Tool" but don't see it any where.  In the figure setup pane, I can right-click on a bone and I see the option for "Create IK Chain" but it is grayed out.

Any suggestions?

Many thanks.

That is old, theer is not currently an IK tool as such - you just use pinning (via the mainpulation discs at top-right, or the icons on the Universal tool gizmo at the node origin) to fix the ends of the bone sequence you want to use.

In the Figure Setup pane switch the Rigging Type to Legacy Rigging in the top left then the bottom part of the pane reveals the IK-Chain feature. It seems you can create poser compatible rigging with this. I found this helpful even while I actualy try to create a general weight map figure because with the Figure Setup pane switched to Legacy Rigging you can define "Weld to Parent" from the bone hierarchy. Once you have the figure created you can also use this Edit>Figure>Rigging>Convert to Weight Map and choose TriAx or General Rigging.

I show exactly this here in my youtube videos.

First without "Weld to Parent" then with new rigging and "Weld to Parent".
